Re: try this appraoch

Jim, Yes, that's one I got. I know there are fill limits on the pistol but my question is how do you know how much you filled? You are weighing the cylinder AFTER you filled and there are no gauges? Are you guestimating how much you filled and then bleed it off if you overfilled? Thanks, Vlad Vlad -...

New to CO2...

I somehow managed to skip the whole CO2 pistol period. I jumped from Spring Piston guns straight to Compressed Air. Well, I decided to change that and just bought my first CO2 pistol, FWB Model 2. I read Scott's notes but I am still not clear how I am supposed to know when to stop filling if I have ...

New to CO2

I just purchased a Feinwerkbau Model 2. I know, I am 20 years behind... :-)

I am not set up for bulk CO2. What CO2 tank do I need to purchase? What is a good price for a tank and what's a reasonable price for a fill? I'd greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks Ray. I got the extra seals when I got the gun. Thank you! Very nice.....Its the latest model I think, with the adjustable cheekpiece, late model rear sight and stock and it would have the lightened hammer for fast locktime. Also the spring-loaded piston assembly. Nice piece of wood as well......

Ray, it is nice to see your name on the board. About six years ago I bought a wonderful Walther LGR Universal Commemorative from you. It is a cherished part of my collection. Thank you very much once again. I hope you are enjoying your retirement. Vlad I sold and serviced these rifles when they firs...

Re: What Airpistol do you shoot?

I was a 3-position and 10M rifle shooter until I got a 10M pistol bug. I still shoot 3-position and 10M rifle but have been concentrating more on 10M pistol and Free Pistol. I've shot (in no particular order): FWB 65 (pre-Mk1, Mk1, Mk2), FWB 80, FWB 90, FWB 100, Hammerli Master, Diana Model 10, Pard...

I shoot 10M pistol and Free Pistol as well as 10M rifle and Free Rifle. I think there is a trend there :-)

That story could easily be true. When I was shooting three position smallbore in Russia as part of a junior shooting team (well, that was 20 years ago), our coach had a Free Rifle stock filled with lead that he gave to the best shooter on our team to practice three position at home. He could NOT be ...

I couldn't find a source of Silastic in US. I did find some information about it: http://implants.clic.net/tony/Blais/046.html. It seems that the name: "Silastic" is used to generalize awhole group of products similarly how we call napkin tissue a "Kleenex" or copy a "Xerox&...

Re: Decocking Vs Dry firing

That's correct. But is it safe to do it without a snap cap or a dummy round? I think some are missing the point. Firing to de-cock (let off the spring) you should only have to do once or twice a match. The electronic trigger can be dry fired multiple times with no wear or damage. You do not have to ...

Modifying the grips - alternatives...

I have a high grade set of grips on my Morini free pistol and can't make myself to modify the grips. Using some kind of adhesive material that won't mar the grips could be the answer. What do you guys use? Is there anything else that you'd recomend? Thank you!

Wow! Thank you Scott!! What an awesome collection. I didn't see an LG51/52/53 bunch though. It would be nice to go and check it out myself.
