Re: Will you PLEASE pick up your free .45 auto!
A coach and mentor of mine, Elizabeth Gathright, used to attend the Desert Midwinter. Her husband, Tom, often shot the Florida midwinter matches.

Damn, I love it when Rover tells it like it is. I wish that there was still a mid-Winter on the East Coast.

Re: Basic question from an AP neophyte . . .
My adapter screws into the yoke valve on the tank There is no other part. You then screw your pistol's air cylinders to the adapter.
I don't know about the Morini cylinders. I have a Steyr. They may or may not be compatible.

Re: Buying first target pistol; have a few questions
If you are in Norfolk, VA, look into Lafayette Shooting Club in Yorktown. They have an active bullseye program and league. I shoot both a Pardini SP (older Nygord model) and an MP90. With Euro ammo, the Pardini is rock solid reliable. The MP90 will shoot CCI std, but it too has its best reliability ...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
All I can say is that his first year of competing in BE was 1964. In 1965 he entered the 2600 club. For what another shooter thinks of his reloading knowledge you can take a look at this. He exclusively shot lead bullets, that he alloyed and cast. In one series of tests they shot and documented 6000...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
A friend did significant cast bullet testing in the late 70's. His results showed that the absolute best accuracy out of his Clark long slide at 50 yards came with Linotype (his load was 4.0 of BE). Even then Lino was expensive so he settled for a mix of lino and wheel weights to approximate Lyman #...

Stop telling everyone about the FWB 65. I am looking for one (mainly because of the trigger switch) to use for bullseye practice and they are getting rare. :-)

ChuckJordan I don't know for sure but I don't think that is correct. There were some people who are going to Fairfax who are interested as well and they work. I also think that some members of the UVa Pistol team are interested. I will check and get back to you.

Re: 10M Air Pistol/Air Rifle Shooting Near Williamsburg, VA
It's not air pistol, but we hold an indoor 22 bullseye league at Rivana in Charlottesville on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays and a coached practice on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. If any of the Richmonders are interested, contact me and we will try to work some things out. I have shot the AP exclusively ...

Re: 10M Air Pistol/Air Rifle Shooting Near Williamsburg, VA
There is talk of running some air pistol matches at Rivanna in Charlottesville. This is obviously more for the Richmond and west crowd.
I will keep the topic updated if this comes about.

Re: 2016 National Match schedule is out
A major part of the cost of Perry is the volunteer staffing, Perry requires 1 range officer /10 shooters and 1 line officer per 20 or something like that. I don't see how housing at Bristol could be cheaper, but a requirement for more volunteers would run up prices. Still, I would think that somethi...

Re: Infighting at USA Shooting
Kate & Jim E, (& others who feel the same way) If you have those dollars burning a hole in your pocket, we could still take some gofundme contributions to pay for the legal expenses. While USOC chipped in 10K, I think we still need a bit more. If we get extra than what we need, when all is ...

Re: Springfield Range Officer: EIC Leg Matches?
To test the accuracy, shoot off of a sandbag and check it at 50 yards. If you are unhappy with the results you can get a new barrel and bushing, you might also want to clean up the trigger, or not.

As long as your trigger makes weight, nothing under the new rules. I shot one a couple of times last year in leg matches.

It's only a deescalation if the case is dropped. At least that is my simple non lawyerly opinion. Otherwise the mediation is a,ay for time until they can get a judge's decision.

Re: Air Pistol Rental
Ah well, if you were closer we might be at some of the same places and I would bring my LP10. My use for it is training for bullseye and specifically iron sighted 22 shooting. But I do find shooting the air pistol to be relaxing even when shooting matches like those at Camp Perry during the pistol p...

I don't think that the cmp rents Steyrs or Morinis. I have only seen the izzy46 and the AP20 on my trips there. Where are you located?
