Re: Parallax error- Optics - 50ft

Sometimes simpler is better. And in this case I personally believe that it is betterer. With a 1" ultradot. the following works. It also works ok with the 30mm. Currently my 30mm has a 3/4 inch extension tube attached to the front. My 1" dots use lobsterbands. http://www.starreloaders.com/...

Re: LP50 for timed and rapid training

The air pistol will help you with follow through. You can run alot of one shot drills with a IZZY46 and one shot drills are good practice. Get the USMC workbook, read the AMU guide and see if you can find a local mentor. Those will do you more good, faster in my opinion than any particular gun. Now ...

Re: Online Petition - SAVE 50M PISTOL SHOOTING AT THE OLYMPI

Perhaps direct letters to the sanctioning bodies would work better than a petition run on a website controlled by an anti-gun group.

Re: Free Rifle prone event remove from the Tokio 2020 OG

If they really felt that strongly, and mixed gender was really important to the IOC, then they should have made the bravest decision of all ..... mixed gender all around. 3x40 (yes the poor little girls can hack it), SB Prone, Air Rifle, 50m pistol, RF pistol, AP, Trap, DT, Skeet, and even bring ba...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Emil Milev was the Expert Civilian class center fire winner in 2014 shooting the Pardini 32 ACP, 869-31X. The overall centerfire winner was Jim Henderson 882-34x; he is an AMU member (I don't know what he was shooting). dipnet Alex Chickhov shot an 873-36x with the 32acp in 2015 to win the expert c...

Re: number of a/p shooters

Here in the SE Virginia there's only 1 shooter Me You get a match together and some more will show up. But there are matches that don't show up on USA Shooting. For example 87 shooters competed in the 60 shot Air Pistol match at this year's Pistol Nationals and over 250 shot the 30 shot match (or m...

Re: Heads Up Date change National Matches

If you check steel chickens you will see a number of things over the past 6 or so months. First they come out after Nationals and claim to have signed a contract to have all of the a Nationals at Whittington for the next 5 years. When it is pointed out that attendance tends to be bigger for high pow...

Re: Heads Up Date change National Matches

NRA rifle generally has less than 400 competitors per phase. At least that seems to have been true for the past few years. A lot of those competitors are the same people. But the important thing to address is that the NRA says it is moving the Rifle Matches for 2017 to Camp Atterbury in Indiana. If ...

Re: Benelli MP90 ?

I have a Benelli and a Pardini. My Benelli has the builtin mount and it works. But it is tall and pretty much as to be because of the ejection design of the pistol. It is lighter than the Pardini with a different though still good trigger. Mine is actually an MP95 with upgraded trigger and grip. I h...

Re: High Power Championships

Rifle ranges are due south of the Airstrip. There are several but only one that is 600 yards, as far as I know. Parking is very limited and that range has 50 points. So if as many people shoot as last year it will need to be 6 relays. I shot there once in 2011. The only issue I remember is that the ...

Re: Replacing rear shock absorber: Pardini SP BE

Remember to make sure that you have some unsolidified moly grease on your sear. That was a problem I had last year with reset and Alex from Pardini diagnosed it very quickly at Perry.

Do three of these people lack any competitive shooting experience at ALL? Certainly none is noted in their bios and while I respect business people, some domain knowledge is a good thing for a Director of ANYTHING.

I have a Benelli (MP95 with an MP90 trigger group and ortho grip), a Pardini SP (Nygord era with Horton 1911 angle grip and Pardini international style grip), a High Standard Victor, a Ruger Mark I, and a Marvel Unit 1 conversion. My personal best for a single stage of sustained fire is a 100-10x wi...

Re: Cheaper .45 alternatives

Chia,

I think Jon, who is one of the best Bullseye smiths around, could take an RIA and make it a 1.5" or even smaller gun. Obviously that says more about Jon than RIA. And the amount of work required might make it less expensive to start with a Caspian or other frame.

Hammerli 150 pricing

I have a retired friend who is in the process if thinning his gun collection. He has a couple of pistols a hammerli 150 and a morini cm2 steel frame that I am interested in. Is the a consensus on value of these pistols. Our hands are extremely close in size and his grips will require little more tha...
