watching the 8s instead of trying to remember the 10s
I've been off and on for fifteen years, and right now I'm definitely back on trying to figure this thing out. I can generally shoot 540+ but never 555+. My main thought right now is that 90% is trigger release, if you can actually pull the trigger without disturbing the sights, it's kinda hard to sh...

Re: Lifting above the target?
For me right now it's a higher lift to settle the rest of my body, then a not-slow drop to above the target to set my upper body, confirm sights, and bring in eye focus, then a lower into the target area to find hold and release. If I lift straight to just above the black, I find that too much is go...

Re: Can anyone convince me to keep using center hold for 10m?
I've been practicing again for about four months now after knocking off at the end of last year. It took about 4 weeks to return to my old average of around 540 then I plateaued, so I've been digging all through the shot. One thing that is perfectly clear is that 95% of your score is based on how cl...

Have both matches near Louisville, KY shut down?
Usually in October matches start at Indian Creek Shooting Center and Hoosier Hills in Columbus, however I'm unable to find detials for either on the websites. Does anyone know if those matches will continue this year?

Back at it, what's the thought on tricep relaxation?
Jumped back in and am pleasantly surprised how little I've lost over a year of not shooting. When I'm fresh I'm scoring roughly where I used to be. That said, I had to remember my sequence, and the last thing that I re-discovered was that if I relax my tricep at the top of my raise and keep it relax...

Re: AP Thought - Go Low (with the bore)
I've been looking over the various air pistols. I own an LP10, a CM162E, a P44, and even a Hammerli 480. Right now, air pistol is divided between Steyr, Morini, and Other...with Other taking perhaps 20% of the market at best. And it occurred to me that the one thing the Steyr and Morini have, and m...

Re: Shots are Low and Left
When I go through this problem (seems like I cycle through all of them eventually) it's a combination of collapsing during the break and snatching the trigger to try and catch the sights before I collapse. The fix is always to focus on follow through and doubling my concentration on seeing the sight...

Re: How do you grip your air pistol? hard, light, supported,vi
Fairly hard. Firm as about to bring down a hammer on a nail. Index and pinky relaxed, avoiding fingertip involvement, stiff wrist and arm, making sure the trigger finger is sensitive and moving freely. I'm working on endurance, but when I start shooting I can almost hold the 10 steady and execute th...

Re: Any experience with importing from Krale (Netherlands)
Are they allowed to sell fire arms to the US, i am looking to buy a Match Guns MG2 from them. I contacted them about the same issue about 4 months ago and they said the paperwork and shipping to export firearms was just too onerous. Likewise, I've tried a few different importers and none could get ...

Re: IZH 46M malfunction
What trigger adjustment are you suggesting? How would the trigger control the charging of the cylinder? Thanks, Dan It sounds like short-stroking, when you don't quite get the hammer reset, but that comes with a noticeable whoosh of air escaping. Maybe a trigger adjustment that is letting the cocki...

Re: IZH 46M - The force is Weak
I've had to replace broken pump linkages on three IZH's, which requires disassembling the piston. I've never had a problem unscrewing the inner section of the piston completely. Something isn't right... The set screw is supposed to go into one of the slots. If it missed by a bit, it may have bugger...

Re: IZH 46M - The force is Weak
I've tried that before, and the last step, unscrewing the piston, always jams up. Set screw is out, it turns a bit, but then locks hard. Plus I don't really know if it's shooting weak or not, it's certainly much slower than my Steyr but I couldn't say if it's any slower than when I bought it.

You must have got the last of them Houngan. All they show now is the 300/tin at $5.49 Good score! Well shit, you made me look back at the order, and they baited-and-switched me. The picture was for 500, the description was 500, and the URL is still 500: https://www.airgundepot.com/rws-diabolo-basic...

Re: Twitch Shot in 10 Meter Air Pistol
What helped me get over twitches that big (I still occasionally have one into the 7, but almost never into the white) was to learn how to relax as many arm muscles as possible and let the arm suspend on my shoulder muscles. That, and make very, very sure the thumb/index is relaxed before starting th...

Looking at your dispersion, time to click the sights up two or three notches.

Re: Heads Up On RWS Basic Pellets (USA)
Airgun Depot shows stock of the 500/tin Basics. I put 60 in my cart, with the buy 3 get the 4th free it came back at $314.55 with free shipping. $5.25/tin, not too bad. AofA also shows stock but can't touch AD's price as they want $30 +/- for shipping. Neal at ISS is OUT and is looking for a new su...

Tennis grip tape + ProGrip spray. It feels like your hand is glued to the grip, it's not toxic/painful, it's cheap.
