MR-73 Reloading

I recently slugged the barrels on two .32 S&W Long chambered revolvers - S&W Model 16 and Manhurin MR-73 - using soft lead spheres supplied by Dardas Cast Bullets. After returning the slugs for measuring to Dardas, the Model 16 barrel measured .3125 and therefore uses the readily available ....

Freeland tube sight

That's right. The front sights could actually be purchased individually or as a set, each identical tube having a different base height.

Freeland Rear Tube Sight

The Al Freeland rear tube sight was actually a 1" diameter tube the was mounted in actual Unertl 1" mounts. It can be found threaded for both the Merit/Redfield disc systems, as well as larger threads for European style eye pieces. The Freeland sight was meant to be teamed up with his fron...

Back in the mid 1990's I owned and enjoyed a FAS 606. It was used when I bought it, and within a few months developed bad seals. However, this post has renewed my interest. Currently, there is a FAS 606 - with bad seals - for sale on e-Guns, with just over 24 hours remaining for the auction. Has any...

HSG Custom Six Revolver

Curious about this revolver after reviewing Hermann's Guns web sight, I called Australia and spoke to Hermann a few weeks ago. (Hermann is no fan of the .32 S&W Long cartridge when I asked about available chamberings. Seems to a be big fan of the .38 Special.) I was just about to ask if there we...

MG2 plate screws ...

About six months ago I received a special order MG2 in all black. (Some of you may remember some of our discussion concerning the accuracy of an all black gun versus the current production blue model?) I've fired several thousand rounds through the pistol without any serious issues, although sometim...

I loved shooting my Air Match CU400,... until the valve housing cracked. As already suggested, make sure it still holds pressure. (I doubt that Air Match is still around, but you may want to check with Beeman to see if the pistol can be service - new seals, etc. The CU400 is at least 20-25 years old...

Here's my right (dominant) eye correction: SPH -5.25, CYL +5.25. My astigmatism is so strong, my physician says my right eye "looks like a hard boiled egg." Nice guy, eh? I've had Neal order me lenses with the positive aspherical corrections added to my prescription. The lens will be deliv...

With a target in place, assume your regular shooting stance and pistol grip, and prepare to raise the gun as you are currently doing. Now CLOSE YOUR EYES and raise the gun. OPEN YOUR EYES: (1) Are your sights naturally aligned, and (2) Is your pistol on the center axis of the target? (Don't be conce...

Neal Stepp/I.S.S. (877)595-2090 works with a firm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that actually keeps a sample of various lens holders on hand, and can provide prescription lenses at a VERY REASONABLE price. The positive correction lenses (+.25, +.50, +.75) mentioned are standard stock items for target...

Fiocchi brass ...

Considering all the cost effective Fiocchi center fire ammunition sold - both .32 S&W Long and .38 Special - I can't seem to recall many reloaders mentioning reusing the brass cases.

Has anyone had any experiences, either good or bad, with reloading the Fiocchi/G.F.L. brass?

Rumor has it that MatchGuns is coming out with a Rapid Fire version of their MG2 pistol.

Does anyone have any information on how this pistol differs from the Standard Pistol version?

As long as you don't have a dealer special order a size small grip for an 84E, most dealers should allow you to return a grip as long as it's returned unaltered. Make some phone calls to international shooting equipmnet retailers. Someone has one in stock, either ordered for someone who didn't buy o...

The grip can be altered just like a wooden grip - Hammerli even makes their Hi-Grip paste in black. If you prefer a wooden grip, Rink lists one in their product line - although, the weight is much lighter than the original Hi-Grip. (When altering grips in areas that require being restippled, order t...

I've owned my AP40 air pistol for several years now, and truly have had NO issues with it. (Having "issues" with equipment seems to be a very popular topic on the Forum.) Now when I bought mine, the barrel was only offered non-ported and made of aluminum - a barrel material that seemed ver...

Micro-Mart sells such a "hot wire" cutting tool for model railroaders to use for shaping scenery. Though it's intended for use more with styrene, it may have applications for use with softer gun case foam.

Micro-Mark has a web page: www.micromark.com

Check out item #81622.
