My primary dealer/importer - who often does not have items I request in stock and must initiate an order from Europe - quotes the retail price based on that day's exchange rate and his desired margin. (Most probably, items held in inventory are retailed based on the original cost/exchange rate at th...

Paul: Is the 143mm length of the new Morini 84E compensator (54mm/@2" longer than the original compensator), an overall length requirement for UK ownership? I'd really enjoy viewing the photograph mentioned in your posting, as I wasn't able to find the new compensator on Morini's web sight. Tha...

Morini 84E compensator ...

Ernie: The basic 84E sight holder provides the option of being set as far back so as to be flush with the barrel crow, thereby allowing the shooter to adjust its' perceived weight/balance. The compensator however, has a fixed mounting position, allowing you to only choose your front blade placement/...

TESRO

TESRO target air, center fire, and standard pistols - developed by an ex-Walther designer - are now being imported into the Australian market as per some internet postings. Are there any expectations for North American availability? Has anyone had the opportunity to check these pistols out? (I've on...

Be sure to check-out these photographs from Fort Benning. Although almost every shooter is either using a TOZ or 84E free pistol as a foundation, it's interesting to see how some "trick-out" their guns...

The centering device is necessary when using an adjustable iris. If your pupil is not exactly centered in the lens/iris, the aperature openings will begin to "fuzz out" as you stop it down. If you're planning on using your glasses as a platform for color filter and/or positive corrective f...

MatchGuns MG 2 source ...

The MG2 is shown in the current Gehmann catalog. As many target shooting dealers carry items manufactured by and/or distributed by Gehmann - I.S.S., Champions Choice, Neil Johnson's Gunsmithing, etc. - the MG2 may now be in their inventory, or available as a special order. I recently initiated an or...

Over the years, I've been the owner of quite a few single stroke pneumatic (SSP) air pistols - Pardini K10, Walther LP3 (2X), FAS 604, FAS 606, FWB 102 - as well as a spring powered FWB Model 65 II. An interesting aspect of airguns that are independent of an air source - CO2 and/or SCUBA - is the me...

MATCHGUNS MG2

The MATCHGUNS MG2 is currently shown in the new 2005 Gehmann catalog. As Gehmann has many North American customers, I'm sure this will result in wider opportunities to aquire the MG2. Hopefully, one or more select Gehmann customers will provide a level of product support for MATCHGUNS pistols that c...

MATCHGUNS' site - so that's it ...

It's a RoadRunner issue. Apparently MATCHGUNS must have updated their sight but currently is not meeting RR's standards for legitimacy.

Alex: A very simple method for cleaning an airgun's bore is the felt pellets from VFG. They're sold either as a kit with dry and oiled pellets, or as bulk dry pellets. It's recommended to stack the pellets - two for pistol, three for rifle - leading off with an oiled felt. (If you buy the bulk dry p...

Changwon World Cup

In reviewing the ISSF.TV photographs of the Men's10m Air Pistol Finals, I couldn't help noticing that three Walther LP300 and two Benelli Kite pistols were used by the finalists. Both of these guns rarely get any attention.

Where's the Steyr/Morini dominance usually seen?

Walther SSP

As I'm sure many of you already know, the new Walther SSP is now being shown in Walther's current catalogue. However, Walther does not plan to have these pistols available until September '05 - and this information is directly from Walther.

Get in line shooters - this gun looks like a winner.
