Pardini magazines are sensitive to the length of the round. CCI SV is manufactured at the maximum SAAMI length so you have to watch that the rounds don't hang up in the mag. A simple check is to pull the mag follower button on a loaded mag down with your thumb and if the rounds fall freely and snap ...

The casing with bullet still in is too long and the nose of the bullet will catch in the chamber. That is why a spent case will extract but not a loaded round.

My Steyr test target was marked as having been shot with 4.49 pellets. Rather than try to reinvent the wheel I just use what they used. I am sure they had their reasons for the selection. I use JSBs due to price and availibilty. I think the average shooter would be unable to notice a difference betw...

I compete with SK and practice with CCI std vel. The problem with CCI is that there is a lot of variation in the length of the rounds. Some of them are well above SAAMI maximum length and they jam in the magazine. If they don't hang up in the mag they shoot well in my SP.

The original post stated that he was not sure which direction to adjust the sight. During a final is not a good time to experiment. Learning which direction to turn and by how much, is for practice sessions.

Pardini SPs have an extractor and an ejector. The ejector is a tab on the top of the magazine. As the slide moves rearward the extrator claw holds the right side of the casing. As the left side of the casing hits the ejector tab it is thrown sideways out the ejection port. Older magazines often had ...

I do a lot of my dryfiring practice pointed at a blank wall. It allows me to concentrate just on maintaining proper sight alignment while squeezing the trigger. No pesky target to distract me.

I don't use a 5mm sight, but I have had to increase the width of the rear sight in order to clearly see the front sight.

I sold my older model SP a while back and sent the manual with it. On the older model the adjustment was down in the trigger group not on the top of the frame like the new one. I am looking for a drawing. Will get back to you. Rgds. CW http://www.pardini.it/manuali/pardini%20k50%20gp%20hp%20sp.pdf [...

SP/HP Trigger Adjustment ADJUSTING THE PARDINI SP/HP TRIGGER This pistol is designed to have a two stage pull and most shooters who take the time to get acquainted with a two stage system end up liking it and doing better than with the American "High Standard/Model 41 " trigger. To use a t...

I think the buffers are neoprene, but that is a guess. Some solvents may affect them more than others.
My Pardinis are high mileage and I have replaced the buffers in both. The one I took out of the HP was almost worn away.

The buffer is a green mushroom shaped piece that mounts in the rear of the frame. With the barrel and bolt removed you can look into the frame and see it. With the grip off you will see a hole in the back of the frame that the stem part of the buffer pushes into. If you have a well used pistol it ma...

I started with a Ruger MkII, then a High Standard, now I shoot an SP. All were capable of shooting a good group slow fire but during timed and rapid fire shooting the SP far outperforms the others. The lower barrel configuration and recoil damping of the SP allowed much faster return to proper sight...

I knew that Cyl & Axis were, as they are only shown on 1 eye, but I guess I still am not sure about the +.50 diopter thing. Do I add that to the sphere value in my shooting eye? Thanks for the help,

I have a new prescription and Progressive lens glasses. For shooting I have gone back to my old single vision. I would like to try the Zenni order, but not sure how to interpret the +.50 diopter bit. My prescription shows Sphere, Cyl, Axis, but has blanks for Prism and Base. What do I change to get ...
