I have only ever shot the IZH-46m. But I am very happy with it. IT shoots great and will put up good numbers. The grip needs serious adjustment though but with a little time a dremel tool and some snadpaper you can make the grip fit your hand real nice. They cost $270-300 vs over a thousand for the ...

I always jump on this when bill post. But it is nice to see the increased participation. Its a real easy match to shoot and to register your scores. Bill makes it very hassle free. Join in folks. Its fun to shoot the postal.

Thanks for the thoughts guys...sounds like a plan on the edelman targets...I was refering to the izh-46m specificalyl when i mentioned the oil I dont need any yet but I will eventually.

Dustin, Thanks for the comments on how to do it. I got brave this past sunday and with pencil in hand and dremel tool at the ready I held my breath and started...when ti was all done I was pleased with the results. Came out much like yours with the finger grooves in it. Much more comfy to shoot now ...

Looks good and yes its a fun pistol for sure. I just got mine around christmas! I have been enjoying it ever since.

Out of curiosity what did you use to modify the grips. File, dremel.?? I have been too chicken to touch mine yet cause i dont want to mess it up.

Doug, That was my point in posting this. I am just having fun. When i used to shoot 10m air and 3p smallbore...it sometime became like work....Dont get me wrong I had a lot of fun doing that too...but too often i was measuring how i was doing and the fun by how high up the score sheet I was....Shoot...

I couldnt agree more...its is just like a 2x4. I have been reading up on the modifications folks have mentioned and I will check out dons info too. I should be able to get it to fit my hand nicely.
