Re: Slide Mount or Frame Mount for Red Dot on .45?

Frame mounts = easier to have a more reliable gun, are able to shoot lighter loads reliably, and are usually easier on scopes (though less of a worry with mousefart bullseye loads). On the downside they tend to be more expensive to buy and have installed, and are less tolerant of sloppy slide-frame ...

Re: High velocity ammo in a TOZ 35.

Have y’all seen a Toz-35 firing pin? It’s not exactly dainty.

I get the impression Russians aren’t big on delicate firearms.

It’s a strong action for a .22. You’ll be fine.

Re: BEWARE; The eight worst words!

Got the address where payment was shipped? Publish it to warn others? Maybe someone on here is close by.
Contact local authorities there and say a gun was involved in the transaction? (Maybe they can learn it was an air gun later).

SK Pistol Match has been what my Pardini like's best. Where are you seeing $5.10/box shipped? I might have to stock up.

Re: Buying my first air pistol! Recommendations please

If at all possible, I'd try before I buy. FWIW, I've had a Steyr LP1, and handled a LP10 and a Morini 162ei. I currently own a Pardini K12. My Steyr LP1 and the LP10 felt the same in the hand. I have short fingers and I found the reach to the trigger on the Steyrs to be a little long...there's only ...

Re: What ammo, available in US, is recommended for Sp22 New?

SK Pistol Match has been the most accurate and most reliable in my Pardinis, better than SK Standard or CCI SV. Wolf Match is good too, but it's usually more expensive than SK Pistol Match. Eley Target has been accurate, but I've had some problems with it getting hung up in my magazines. CCI SV hasn...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

Hi Yonak, If you are loading a 98grn HBWC in a 32acp case, you will have compressed to powder significantly causing high pressure resulting in the projectile separating. The wild holes down below will be the skirts of the projectile. You must pull any of these rounds and use the popular 62grn semi ...

Re: Which Pardini model to get for ISSF and BE events?

I've owned a Pardini SP Sport and I still own a SP Bullseye in .22lr and an HP in .32acp. Part of it depends on what you’ll spend most of your time shooting. I would suggest the Pardini SP Bullseye 5" in .22lr, as it is the most versatile. It will work fine in the .22 event in Bullseye and with...

Re: Thoughts on the new Walther LP500 models?

They look beautiful, but I don't trust Walther to keep their cylinder design stable for the long run in order to support long term owners. That's a deal breaker in this age of mandatory cylinder expiration dates.

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk

I have a noob question re: brass. I have just started the fun of 32ACP reloading and have 500 Starline brass, which I am having good luck with so far (Sl only). However, I seem to see several references to R-P and W-W brass as being excellent? When I google this I can't seem to find any sources of ...

Re: How to ship an air gun?

If it’s a high dollar air pistol (like $800+), I’d send it USPS Registered Mail instead of Priority Mail. The paper tape is a pain and it might take an additional day or two to get there, but it’s the most secure method available and it’s often cheaper than Priority +Insurance, especially as the val...

Re: rapid fire air pistol

This effect is probably closely related to the downward spiral noted in the previous comments: if the entire sport is focused on the top 0.1%, then everyone has to compare themselves to that 0.1%. If you can somehow increase the number of participants, then suddenly you have a broader spectrum of c...

Re: rapid fire air pistol

Maybe precision shooters (and governing bodies) should change their strategy with a longer view in mind. Instead of putting all of their eggs in promoting precision shooting to just youths, put more effort into promoting to post-college age adults as a lifetime shooting discipline. Adults are less l...

Re: A friend wants to sell his Pardini SPE ??

Check the frame for cracks too. Really, you're talking about a an outdated, no longer supported .22 target pistol, of which there were relatively few made. Something as simple as a broken firing pin or extractor might require custom making a replacement. Unless the price was absolutely bargain basem...

Re: Can I save my club from itself?

IIRC, Ben Franklin said we should hang together or we will surely hang separately. What with all the elitist attitude and denigrating of other shooting disciplines, it seems like a lot of folks here would prefer the latter alternative. FWIW, I’ve found the IPSC/USPSA crowd to be very welcoming. Abou...

Re: Steyr Popularity in Air Pistol

After hearing what happened to folks with Walther Free Pistols, I’m really leery about getting something with an electronic trigger. I think my Pardini’s trigger is great, and I won’t have to worry about a circuit board becoming unobtanium.
