Re: Problem with just received Toz 35m

I no longer have one, but I'm sure there's a way to manual release the tension on the striker spring. Probably requires taking off the grip and/or forend.

Re: Looking for a high quality rotating angled eyepiece spotter

The NG rotates. It's an awesome spotting scope. Probably the smallest and lightest of the bunch, but still great quality. I can see .22 holes at 50 yards and it works good for 10m air pistol too. It's worth the cash.

Re: Pardini SP barrel length

Ported barrel and added length (won't fit in box) will make it ineligible for ISSF Standard Pistol, Sport Pistol, and Rapid Fire. I don't see any advantage of the longer barrel for Bullseye unless you just want more weight out front.

Re: What New Free Pistol

FP500 is not discontinue, you can ordered it through Earl. As far as I know, The part for FP60 and FP500 are interchangeable. I had compared schematic diagram between both pistols. FP60 diagram from the web is not as detail as my FP500 diagrams. But the screw holes, parts looks the same. Earl stock...

Re: What New Free Pistol

Thanks for the info. Tom from TML Guns let me know last night that Walther has one (1) left and he can get if for me. He said that it is the last one, it has been discontinued and they have not announced a replacement. Price is $2,400.00. What are your thoughts? Cheers, Bob Hmm...$2400 for a gun th...

Re: Who shoots other disciplines?

Shotgun sports are not really based on aiming. TO shoot a shotgun well you have to have a good fit and a good mount. If your gun fits you and you are consistent in how you mount it, then you don't aim it, you keep your head on the gun and it shoots where you are looking. The gun should become a nat...

Re: Who shoots other disciplines?

... I also shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays. My first time trying trap was a disaster. I was (and am) so used to waiting until I had a good sight picture and steady hold to start squeezing the trigger that most of the discs were on the ground before I was ready to fire. Traditionally, shotgun ...

Re: Who shoots other disciplines?

I've shot a variety of disciplines and would still shoot them all if I had the time. I shot primarily IPSC when I was a kid growing up in Germany. When my father got orders for Japan, where the only shooting was the JROTC 3-position air rifle and 10m air pistol teams, I started shooting that. I star...

Re: Is it just me or is this forum slowly dying ?

It may be that the forum is dying. If so, I think it must be that our sport(s) is. Spray and pray seems more attractive than the ability to actually hit your target. I agree, the sport is slowly dying. There are *very* few local matches out there. I'm lucky to live in an area that actually has one....

Re: FWB65 Question - what are they like to shoot?

no perceived recoil. You have to be kidding right ? Maybe it’s a hemisphere problem but down here in the south they go “ choonk ka Choonk” and any resemblance to “no perceived recoil” is non existent. Okay, maybe "no perceived recoil" was a bit of an overstatement, but sliding never bothe...

Re: FWB65 Question - what are they like to shoot?

I shot one back in high school, almost 30 years ago. The receiver simply slides back; no perceived recoil. It doesn't rebound forward. IIRC, when you recocked them, it would slide forward and reset. I recall the triggers being very good. Overall, still a very competent gun, just lacking the degree o...

Re: 10m Olympic shooters Use compact or standard Length?

Then let me throw this out to you. Why not a short barreled pistol with a front sight extension that is equivalent to a long barreled gun? I maintain that the shot time with a short gun will be more accurate, but the long sight radius will will make the shooter get better results?? My theory is tha...

Re: Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon Sporting?

They're nice guns. Same basic action as Beretta's more competition-specific 682, except the 682 has a trigger adjustable for length of pull, while the 686 doesn't. There are several variations in barrels...different lengths, high and flat ribs, etc. I believe most folks shooting international trap t...

Re: Can you use 22 shorts for shooting 50 Meter free pistol?

Do you think the chamber could be reamed to long rifle dimensions and shoot CCI Quiet. They shoot pretty soft and are pretty accurate. I dont know if you would need a stronger recoil spring or need to add some weight to the slide? Since you have to single load..no magazine changes would be needed.....

Re: What makes a pistol more "forgiving" than another?

@sparky You can see from the picture in my last post that I have tried to move the bloop tube on the Morini to (roughly) match the length of the Toz barrel. The front and rear sights have also been machined to match. Could the lock time for an electronic trigger be substantially slower than the mec...

Re: What makes a pistol more "forgiving" than another?

I would guess several factors including but not limited to the following. All of these likely have the *tiniest* affect individually, but might make a larger difference cumulatively...sort of like stacking tolerances: 1. Sight radius. For a given perceived misalignment of the sights, the gun with th...

Re: Purchasing K12 From Pardini USA

It’s not a firearm under federal law. It can be shipped directly to you. If you want to read up on it, look at the U.S. Code, somewhere around 18 USC 920ish and on.
