On my SP, I have 4 of 6 weights installed, all with the spring to the front. The four are the ones surrounding the barrel. On the 32ACP barrel, I have all 6 installed with springs forward.

Vladimir and Emil: Two questions about my 32 ACP (which shoots great, by the way): I am having issues with the scope rings creeping on the rail. Every 10 shots causes the scope-ring assembly to creep forward about 5mm. It doesn't seem to matter how tight I get the screws, which brings me to the seco...

I've had no huge problems finding 22, just little ones. When I decided I wanted more, I started looking at all the standard websites pretty much every day. I wanted Wolf Match Target. After looking around for a few weeks, I found it and bought 5 bricks. The place I got it from (E. Arthur Brown in Mi...

Wolf won't work in my 41 either, even with the lightest spring available. Not enough poop to reliably cycle. Shoots great in the Pardini though. I find wolf to be noticeably lighter than CCI, Fiocchi or RWS target rifle, which all are similar to each other when it comes to recoil.

Thanks, Oldcaster,

I will contact Rim Rock myself to request 0.314 bullets. Maybe if a few people ask them, they'll be willing to do it.

I did some more ransom rest testing today. I was mainly testing 32 acp loads, but put the 22 barrel on and tried some 22 ammo. I tested Fiocchi 22FLRN, Wolf Match Target, RWS Target Rifle and Eley Tenex. I wouldn't usually consider shooting Tenex from a pistol, but I used it as the benchmark since I...

I finally got some ransom rest results I believe today. I tested 2 32 ACP loads from my Pardini: One using 60 gr XTPs for the long line, and another using lead bullets I hoped would be good enough for the short line. The long line load is: 60 gr XTP 2.3gr Titegroup Remington factory primed brass 0.9...

The local guys here are trying Zero jacketed bullets with good results. Experimentation is ongoing. They are? I didn't know Zero made 32 bullets. Don Plante and I are both using the Hornady XTPs. I just tried Rim Rock 75gr flat point cast lead bullets last night with good results. I will post more ...

Well, I can guarantee, just from the characteristics when I shoot, that the two are NOT the same at all. I shot the last of my Fiocchi last weekend and the cheap Aguila Saturday. I shoot the same Fiocchi as Rover. It's marked 22FLRN. It shoots 1" at 50 yards from a Ransom rest out of my SP Bul...

Re: 32 ACP ammo, what is the most accurate? Anyone tested a

I am looking to see if anyone shooting 32 ACP for the center fire portion of bullseye matches, has any info to offer regarding ammo. With the match grade stuff hard to get, is there a factory load ammo that anyone is having good success with, that holds good groups? I have PMC, Prvi, and Fiocchi br...

Jack, We have some informal leagues down at PRGC. During the summer (now through some time in September) we shoot a 22 league on Monday nights. We start with some practice at 6pm or so, then move into 3 NMCs for score at around 6:30. In September, through the rest of the year until after 4th of July...

New S&W Model 41 5.5" barrels in stock at Midway

I just got a stock notice email from Midway that they have the S&W model 41 factory 5.5" barrel in stock after almost a year out of stock. I found a used one in the mean time, but had the email notice set up. If anyone is looking for one, they're selling for $229.

Vladimir, Have you tested other preloaded .32 ACP ammunition in the SP like Wolf 71gr JHP, Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics 60gr JHP, Fiocchi Extrema 60 gr JHP (with Hornady XTP bullet)? You say the handload you've developed shoots under 1" at 50 yards. What are the specifications for that load? Do yo...

I got my used tank at El Mar diving center in Mesa. I got the tank as cheap as on craigslist, and it was newly re-hydroed. They will fill tanks with no PADI card, as long as you sign a waiver saying you won't use the tank for diving.

I have a 1970's vintage (A600XXX SN) 41, and it definitely does NOT do this, with any of the three barrels I have (Original 7", S&W 5.5" and Clark 6.5"). There's something wrong.

Adjusting recoil damper on a Pardini SP

Does anyone have any insight on adjusting the recoil damper on a Pardini SP New apart from just adding and removing weights and trying it? I would assume that keeping all 6 weights in with their springs will make the damper stiffer and faster, and reducing the number of weights and springs will make...

Re: One for the Record Books

I'll give you one for the records---The new New York State gun laws a la Psycho Andy Cuomo (Kommisar) Governor---has succeeded in banning the Hammerli, Walther and Pardini handguns because of the pistol grip and the forward position of the magazine. I will be glad to let you know when they are goin...

The Pardini can also be converted to .32 (both .32 S&W long and .32 ACP), as long as you buy the right model. Only the brand new ones (specifically the SP Bullseye model) can be converted. I plan to buy the 22 very soon, and a 32 conversion later. And yes, they exist. A guy I shoot with has had ...

If you want to save some money, I highly recommend a Celestron Regal F-ED. I just got a 65mm for my birthday, and it is fantastic. It's the cheapest scope you can get with real ED glass. They make it in 65mm, 80mm and 100mm versions. The 65 is less than $400. It barely fits into my pistol box, but i...
