Hey Rob -

Lighten up a little. I was humorously referring to Ted's comment about 88 sec Rapid Fire matches. Are things that rough across the pond?

Anybody that fires 60 shots in 88 secs is paying more than $10.00 per minute for a match. I think you can get much more Bang for the Buck in other disciplines.

I found that I could optimize lighting at home so I could see perfectly. Tweaked everything just so. Go to the matches (indoor at Ft Benning) and then can't see anything. A former frequent poster (S. Swartz - Where are you?) told me that he has four different light set-ups at home so that he doesn't...

I am also appreciative of the Walther link and the information. It does not mention, though, whether the sight adjustment is for 25 m or 50 m distances. Since the gun is used primarily for 25 m events, I would assume that distance. However, 7 and 11 mm per click are pretty hefty movements for that r...

I wondered about that as well before I got my Morini. However, there is so little recoil and only the one shot so I haven't really felt the need to experiment with one. That being said, Daryl Szarenski has an aluminum-colored comp on the front of his Morini. He seems to shoot pretty well with his gu...

Like Fred, I am one of those satisfied IZH owners with cases of fired ammo and no function failures. Got mine new (2003 stamp) for about $350.00. I like saying that. Wished my expensive guns worked as well. Nicole's right about the manufacturing. All of the parts are interchangeable with parts on my...

I wonder if the extra weight of the scope and mount will significantly help with management of recoil? I have a "standard" LP10 and it kicks really hard. Been thinking of going to a reduced powder charge or a lighter pellet. On a different thought, being pretty new to shooting, I have freq...

You might want to consider an interview with that last responder before hiring him. If his engineering is anything like his cooking, your business might be in trouble. Just trying to help.

shooting shoes alternative

Have a look at Vans - Skateboard shoes. Very comfortable, flat bottoms, way cool styles, great prices.

Shot Release:AP vs FP

Would those more experienced than myself (that would be anybody) please describe any similarities/differences in how you approach firing the shot in Air vs Free Pistol. I don't mean the mechanical differences between the two guns. I am interested in thoughts about the shot process itself that may ne...

The messages recently posted by Steve Swartz, Ed Hall, and Rob Stubbs that discuss conceptual training issues about the shot process are the type I eagerly anticipate finding when I log on to the web site. I don't think that these topics can be discussed often enough and they seem to always relate t...

Ron - That is one of the things I am concerned about. My question is if the Morini grip for the electric guns is even meatier than their counterparts in the same size. Unfortunately, having a small size grip doesn't lend itself to trying out anybody else's grips. Somebody local has a CM84e in large;...

CM84e Grip Question

I need to benefit from the experience of others since there is no opportunity to determine this for myself in advance. Is the grip for the CM84e free pistol wider or larger in anyway than comparable Morini grips for other guns in the same size? To encase the electronics, I underdstand that this may ...

Col. Joe Chang, captain of Air Force pistol team and highly accomplished in conventional pistol, coaches and uses open stance in Bulleseye competition. Uses arm and body in straight plane to absorb recoil and get back on the target. Works pretty well for him.

IZH46 Trigger ?

I have been a BE shooter, now new to AP. On my IZH46, the trigger is angled to the right of vertical when looking from the rear of the pistol. Taking the trigger off to adjust, I noticed that it is machined in such a manner that one rail of the trigger is higher than the other. Is this normal for th...
