Doubling
Sorry, the notice of a thread follow up went to a spam box. "Doubling" means, in this case, that Jason Turner won two events. So did Beckie Snyder. We have three quota slots between Men's Free and Air Pistol. But Jason fills two of those slots so we get to send a second shooter in Air Pist...

A heart-attack match
Before the last final, Keith Sanderson had done the math and let a few of us know what the breakdown needed to be in the Free Pistol finals. John Zurek had a slight edge going in, being the best two finals of three stood, and his first day final would likely be the one he dropped. When it came down ...

Team vs. Individual sports
Reading this thread, a few points come to mind. Team sports are highly publicized in the past 10 or 20 years in the US. Less attention is given to individual sports. As a parent with kids, I see a lot of activity in team sports for children. My kids don't seem so enamored with team sports, so that l...

Hardball RRA
I must have been extremely lucky. Got my hardball RRA in 3 months turn around, but that was a couple of years ago.
Some dealers may have them in stock. Don's Guns in Gilbert or check the RRA forum on 1911.org -- there are a couple of dealers there you can contact.

Can't say I've heard of it...
Bullseye .45 loads need a fast burning powder.
You might post a query to the Bullseye-L list, directed at Neil K (NSK) as he is the bullseye reloading guru. Neil is in the reloading business.

No difference, really
I've used both 185's in lead and jacketed. 200's in lead. No real difference in my guns -- I could get them all to work with a little experimenting. Some 185's work better than others. If you're serious about bullseye, you'll be reloading for the .45 if you aren't already. Factory loads aren't too a...

1911 Anatomical Grips
I'm back to using "slab side" or "standard" grips on my 1911s, after using Nil grips for about a year. The Rink grips don't have an adjustable palm rest last time I checked. This keeps them from fitting my hand. My primary gun had a Nil grip, but after Larry's stopped carrying Ni...

What is a "Leg"
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) runs the "Distinguished Pistol" program, among others, while the NRA sets the rules for Bullseye ("Conventional Pistol") and the Distinguished Revolver program. A "Leg" refers to the CMP Distinguished Pistol program, using service...

I found my way through the USA Shooting site. Looks like they are just late putting the scores up from yesterday.

Does anyone have the Spring '07 Selection Match Schedule?
I'd like to know when Free Pistol is shooting -- I'd have thought Friday and Saturday.
The results are populated in the down load spreadsheet for FP yet (it is Saturday AM), so maybe they haven't shot?
The new again USA Shooting web site isn't any help.

Sub six
Hardly being an expert in the game, I'll say what's been working best for me recently. As my eyes get older along with the rest of my body, I keep adjusting. First, I've found if the rear sight blades aren't wide enough (as on my S&W 14-3), I have a tough time staying locked on the front sight. ...

great thread
I'm glad to hear Nitrogen will work for Air Pistol. I have a buddy who's just getting into AP but lives far enough from any scuba shops (he's off the grid in north east Arizona) that filtered compressed air will be an issue. But he can have a tank of Nitrogen delivered from a welding supply dealer r...

Re: USER of Both
I have used both and I find the Rika simpler to use. The Scatt system I used was more difficult to calibrate then the Rika system. The Scatt system also wouldn't stay in calibration and kept changing. I spent a good hour calibrating the system I had during one practice session. Not having used the ...

Re: NRA of America Targets for Scatt
Truthfully, it has been sooooooo long since I wrote scripts for those targets that I don't remember if there are pistol targets on there. As I said before Marcus, the old scripts don't work on the latest USB systems. You will need to get the factory to code them (I think they have already re-coded ...

SCATT and Bullseye targets
Anybody have suggestions for using a SCATT trainer for bullseye. All I see are International targets.
Is there a way to add a target to the SCATT software for 50yd and 25yd NRA Conventional Pistol targets? (B-6 and B-8)
