Sort of off topic but how did you determine the barrels were worn out?

Re: Pardini SP Bullseye Edition ammo choice
I shoot Eley Club with only the occasional problem when I don't clean the bolt face and chamber (Q-Tip with Hoppes. I do put a drop of gun oil on the top round in the loaded clip. I also found that leaving my pistol and ammo in the unheated garage overnight was a no-no. I hope we are past the cold w...

Re: How to quiet 22 lr rifle, muzzle in box??
The foam in the Swiss tubes looks like egg crate urethane sound deadening material. It might be fine but I was thinking Fiberglas because it isn't flamable. The whole idea that a sound deadening 'room' or enclosure would run counter to the NFA is really a stretch. What about indoor ranges that have ...

Re: How to quiet 22 lr rifle, muzzle in box??
How about a piece of Sonotube, the fiberboard concrete form, limed with Fiberglas insulation? I'm about to make one about 18 " in diameter and maybe 5 ft long. The insulation would be maybe 3 inch thick non-covered Fiberglas. I may use just cardboard to start. BTW you can download lots of decib...

Re: Replacing rear shock absorber: Pardini SP BE
Thanks for the good information. I wonder why Pardini put the damping rod and 'O' ring springs in the bolt in the first place? Did you notice any change in felt recoil or bolt cycle time or sound? It does take quite a bit of force to compress the damper rod. That now all goes into the much larger ar...

I was posting my 22 scores and noted that the slow fire did not have a place to post X's. Ok on the TF and RF.
Now to shoot the next round!

Re: 5 Week Online Shooting League - Like a Postal Match
I'm shooting the B35 target (three targets per week) at 25 yds and for BE or sport pistol, I'm shooting the B2 And B3 at 50 ft.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm offering to scan a B35 target so people can make copies to shoot.

Re: Replacing rear shock absorber: Pardini SP BE
Thanks for the great advice and write up. I will read it tonight. One more question. I am having too many failure to ejects, at least one every box of ammo. I keep the bolt face and barrel chamber area clean and am only shooting Eley Club. I put a small drop of oil on the first round, at least for t...

Re: 5 Week Online Shooting League - Like a Postal Match
I'm with David on the number of targets. Six will take a while and I have other shooting matches I need time for...but I can do it.
Let's see what the other free pistol shooters want.
BTW-I ordered done B35 targets and can scan one and send it out. Let me know.
Kind regards,
David

Re: Replacing rear shock absorber: Pardini SP BE
Dipnet, Good post. I checked mine and no problem yet but I've shot less than half the rounds you have. Question, do you know of some good instructions to fully disassemble an SP? Do you fully disassemble your SP to clean the internals? I'm concerned about cleaning lubricating the trigger, sear, etc....

Re: Firearms page website feedback
Benjamin, I thought this was very informative, thanks. I suspect firearms laws, orders and interpretations are going to change a lot over the next few years. Like the recent IFTAR 'interpretation' by the State Dept, there is going to be a lot of confusion. To end with an old joke, "When I'm gon...

Re: 5 Week Online Shooting League - Like a Postal Match
I signed up but I'm confused as to which target to shoot with my free pistol, a TOZ35. I can easily shoot up to 25 yards, not meters, at the local indoor range. At 70 I'm just doing this for fun anyway. I also assume I can just shoot the normal 25 yard targets with my bullseye 22 for the other match...

Re: Starline .32 acp brass
I'm hardly the expert on loading 32 ACP but I don't have your problem using an RCBS taper crimp die with the same brass and bullet as you. I've been loading to 0.895" OAL with a 0.330 " crimp. I'm shooting this in a Pardini but I don't have enough info to know if this is the best load. The...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
Hmm...very interesting. Why not just leave the brass at the as-fired size so it doesn't end up being sized down, blown up and on and on. If that doesn't work then maybe a custom sizing die is in order, say a few thou larger in diameter. I'm really struggling to get the T&B bullets to fit into th...
