Re: Problem with 208s
When the 208S is ejecting correctly the extractor holds on to the spent brass long enough for the ejector to kick it out at the face of the competitor to your right. If the magazine is sitting a little high the feed lip of the mag will knock the brass off of the extractor and your brass will bounce ...

While I can think of many ways to improve the situation, there is nothing wrong with the current system. The system is not broken. None of us are entitled to a free ride simply because we can shoot. This is one of the differences between Freedom and Communism. Personally, I prefer Freedom and all th...

Sorry, that was me, thoght I was loged in! The wheel of misfortune is truly only a coach's tool. If i have an errant shot (by my definition: a shot that did not go where it was called) I change into coach mode and fix the problem. If the shot was on call, no matter where it landed it is a good shot....

I just realized that you said that you have 21K rounds on the recoil spring and mainspring. You should replace the recoil spring when it develops visible flat spots on the outside. Wear on the mainspring will reduce the trigger pull weight and cause misfires with some ammo. A weak recoil spring will...

This is one of the few problems that we get with the 208S. The magazine may be knocking the empty shell loose from the extractor before it gets to the ejector. Does it do it with all of your magazines or only some? Do the emptys allways fly out the same direction or does it change with different mag...

Perhaps you are thinking about the results of the shot. Your score, how you are doing compared to the others and if that special competitor, a National Team member or just your friend is behind or ahead. It can be bad to place too much importance on the almighty TEN. The process of taking the shot i...

During the course of all of the normal, standard training and practice routines strive for improvement. Focus on anything that yields any improvement and ignore anything that does not work as well. If a bad shot happens, don’t make a big deal out of it. It is not failure, simply try again. When some...

NEWS FLASH: You are already shooting from the subconscious when you flinch! Chicken finger, flinch and several other bad things are from the subconscious. It is completely illogical to flinch when discharging an Air Pistol or Rimfire yet this is a common problem. The subconscious does not utilize lo...

I like the word instinct because the normal decision making process is not used. While “instinctive” shooting is clearly not similar to the instinctive actions of animals, like geese flying south at the beginning of winter, I think that it better describes the fact that we do not wait for the perfec...

I often experience the fully automatic mode that Ed referred to. The feeling I get from it is wonderful and is one of the biggest reasons I continue to shoot. It is possible to shoot great scores this way in FP and Air, it is MUCH easier to reach when things are happening fast enough that you can’t ...

Recall those 10X rapid fire BE targets you have shot? (For those reading who don’t shoot US NRA style Bullseye, this is two 5 shot strings in 10 seconds each with anything from 22 up to full power 45 military ammunition) It was absolute chaos except for the instant of firing when somehow the sights ...

HI Ed, That is fascinating! When you visualize, do you see the sights and target in the prefect sight picture? Do you see it in the exact moment of time that we use to call the shot, when the sights disappear to be replaced with the little fireball or just the perfect sight picture that lasts foreve...

4H pistol program in Wichita Falls, Texas
I hear that there is a 4H pistol program in Wichita Falls, Texas. If you know about it please contact me at kenjuudo@msn.com. One of my family members is interested and I want to know what equipment I should bring on my next visit.
Thanks,

After reading the information on the web site,
http://www.tsi301.com/tsi321main.htm
it looks like TSI321 is better for air guns.
My spring piston guns all have plastic parts, some are mostly made of plastic. Anyone tried it?

Entry level Biathlon
A family member is interested in Biathlon events. Are there any web sites with information on getting started? What is the best way to train? She is a marathon runner, bicycle racer, triathlon and iron man competitor and likes to ski. Is there a Biathlon type event that involves running instead of s...

I am at the same place. My shooting dissatisfaction was caused by a screwed up life. I took action, some of which was painful, to solve my personal problems and a few months later I suddenly realized that everything seemed brighter and nicer. I am not shooting matches yet but I am enjoying shooting ...

Steve, You got me there! Perhaps TT does not seem objectionable because of the format. I do not have to delete things I am not interested in, I never even look at them. Out of sight, out of mind. For me, TT is a more pure shooting experience. I have been on the BE-L for about 9 years and would not w...
