Two questions. Adjustable iris choice and color filters.
I have used a Gehmann iris in the past and was general happy with the quality. I am just wanting to know if the extra cost for the Centra or Anschutz units is warranted. All three seem to offer comparable units. Which would you choose and why? My next question is about color filters. I wear a pair o...

I "cant" fight it anymore!
I have been shooting NRA prone for about two years now. I feel I have been fighting a natural tendency to cant the rifle to the left ( I am right handed) the whole time. I guess initially I thought that it was a position flaw that needed to be corrected. The fact is that when I try to hold the rifle...

When I started shopping for my glasses I did not know that Knobloch had a lower end model. The only one I was aware of was the model that Champions Choice carries. I called Neal Stepp at ISS and he set me up with the entry level model Knoblochs. I think they are about $140 without the lens. You can ...

Hold size in prone
I do not have access to any kind of hold analysis equipment, but sometimes I will practice with telescopic sights so I can see the size of my hold. I have messed with the position of my sling and made a couple other small adjustments in the past month or so. My hold has become much smaller as I have...

Need a solution for my nearsightedness.
I have heard that people use shooting glasses to help them focus on the foresight. Well I do not have a problem focusing on the foresight. Are shooting glasses used to help people see the target more clear. I understand that the target will never be completely in focus, but with my nearsightedness I...

Need advice to improve groups with metalic sights.
I just got into smallbore prone match shooting this year and have some questions about improving my groups with my metallic sights. Earlier in the year it was suggested to me to use a scope until I start to figure out my prone position and reduce the affects of my pulse. I am finally comfortable wit...

Cordura Vs. Leather NRA Style Coat
I have been shooting in a smallbore prone league this year using a Creedmoor Basic cloth coat. The league follows NRA rules so I am looking at that style coat. Most of the guys in the league use heavy coats. Leather only so none have experience with the cordura. I have been talking with them about t...

Rear iris options.
I am in the market for an adjustable rear iris. I have pretty much narrowed it down to three models. They are all Anschutz adjustable iris. One has color filters only, one has polarization filters only and the other has color filters and a polarization filter. The color filter plus polarization iris...
