I can get a scope mount which replaces the iron sights. I wanted to have both irons and red dot but such is not to be. And you're right about disturbing the balance of the slide and probably inducing cycling problems with an attachment to the slide. Thanks for the information and suggestions. Dennis

I have a HS Victor with a grip plate mount for my red dot. I'm having trouble getting good purchase on the slide to retract it once the hammer's fallen. Is there a device that can be attached to the rear of the slide, similar to the bolt retracting handle on an AR-15, which will give more purchase? ...
