I do not think he soldered barrels on Anschutz guns. He took out the pressed and pinned barrels and then he threaded the actions and installed the new barrel.

Both sight setups are legal for IHMSA silhouette but I think the barrel is to long at 15.74 inches if I did my math right.

What is the barrel length? It should be legal for unlimited classes in Ihmsa Silhouette. Looks like it is based on the LP50. Here is my cut up P70jr. i use for unlimited anysight class. I think the main differences between the 1912 and the 2012 is the action, the 1912 is the standard 54 match action that they have made foe yearsand the 2012 is the new square action that has the clamped barrel system. with the 2012 action you can change barrels by removing 4 allen screws.
