Re: 1911 Slide Mount and Recoil Spring
you could add a recoil buffer, at least that would cushion the recoil impact with factory 230,

Re: Dillon 550/650 powder measure
I have the new style on my 1050 but have a old style as well they can be bought on ebay for about the same money, ive used both and checked and rechecked powder drops, both have the micrometer screw and dial and are in new condition but after extensive testing I found the new version is more consist...

Re: Case cleaning for reloading
I prefer to tumble, using treated corn cob and jewelers rouge and add a cap full of liquid car wax to the mix you can buy the mixed corn cobb on ebay, a few hours and brass looks as new as wet tumbling. these will load like butter. wet tumbling takes many more steps, you have to deprime first then t...

Re: Weight balance for the FWB AW93
harbor freight sells stick on weights in 1/4 and 1/2 oz packs with a dozen or so in each pack for cheap, the are the same width as the recoil buffer on the aw, i just clean with alcohol and stick on, you can stack them and they work great, easy to take off too if you want.

What is that on the barrel? what ever it is it is not legal for true nra bullseye matches, as for the high standard, they do good if it functions a 100% but most have feeding issues with the mags.

Re: Pardini 22
most any good 22 will group under 2'' at 50 yards, but be sure you like the radical grip angle of the pardini, its the reason you rarely see anyone shooting bullseye with it. There more than you think shooting them for bullseye. Horton makes a very popular 1911 angle grip for the Pardini. Check out...

Re: Used 1911 Inspection
Check the function of the safeties. Drop the slide with the slide release and see if the hammer follows. When checking the slide to frame fit, make certain that the hammer is cocked. Knowing who built the gun (reputation) and the seller goes a long way. The only sure way to know if the pistol is to...

4.0 of bullseye, tight group, clays, v-310, will power a good 185 or 200 lswc into the x ring from a good gun,

Re: Jack Best hardball 1911
Ive owned two of his guns, they were good shooters but he built them with mostly stock parts, mine were colts and I sold them if I remember right for around 900.00 and they had scope rails, id say being a springfield and if it has open sights, maybe 700.00 or so is fair market

Re: New CMP Rules: How Are They Working?
your whole wad gun is legal, if it has iron sights, as is glocks and about 60 other guns and you can shoot most any load long as its a fmj. whole program is a farce now imo, they should have started a new class and not scraped the old requirements, it degrades the ones that did it before. imo

Re: 45ACP, difference in 185 vs 200 gr SWC bullets
185 at 25 imo is better, less recoil quicker recovery, yes with a lswc a heavier bullet requires less powder but a heavier bullet gives more recoil. go with a 185 some even shoot a 160 at 25

Re: Anyone one own a Rock River Wadcutter?
you are correct, but stories tend to differ some what by who is telling. Ive owned several from rock river and les baer bullseye guns, all were good accurate guns, id say you might get a tiny bit better gun from RRA but you pay a few extra hundred over the cost of the same model Baer. RRA wadutter i...

Re: Anyone one own a Rock River Wadcutter?
I own a Rock River limited match (6-inch); it came with the 1.5" guarantee at 50 yards (which I believe they started and Les Baer copied). Any rate, it remains accurate pistol and is a joy to shoot. My only complaint is the early models lacked any identification on the pistol except for the se...

Re: Ruger MKIII
Your ruger mkll can be tricked out with a hammer bushing and have a very nice trigger, you cant do it to a mkll without breaking the rules on safety disabling. as for HS, they shot good but the mags are the worst on the planet for malfunctions.
