Rover - Re: Two years: Was I right?
So I was just viewing some of my old posts. Rover - I've always appreciated our interaction and communications. Thought you may appreciate me checking in. She is still actively shooting. Although, slowing a little being almost 17 now and a boyfriend and part time job. Life is somewhat getting in the...

Simulate Match Pressure/Stress for Juniors - Air Pistol
I'm involved in a junior program at my local club. We have been trying to find ways to put match pressure on our shooters. A couple of our shooters are competing at a Provincial and National level. When they go to a large event they tend to fall short, they have also risen to the occasion. When they...

Paulo - Thanks for the reply. The post was from along time ago. Actually one gun ago, Steyr LP10 for my daughter now. I believe you must be referring to the Hammerli with the non-removable tank. Ours are removable. I actually went to a local gasket and seal shop had them matched and work flawlessly....

Dear Rover
Yes it has been 2 years and I'm happy to say that was about 20,000 pellets ago. My daughter is still going strong she live fires a minimum of 3 times a week that is down from the 5 days a week she was shooting until she discovered the benefits of dry firing. She has a personal best match of 366/400,...

Question re precscription lense for shooting glasses
My daughter has been shooting with Knobloch shooting glasses with a plano (no power) lense. She wears contact lenses which it has been suggested she should not be wearing for shooting. So I want to order her a prescription lense for her shooting glasses. My question: her current prescription is -2.5...

Crossing USA/Canada Border with a Air Pistol
Thought I would ask: I'm from Canada and plan on taking my daughter to a competition south of the border. Is there anything I need to know about crossing the border with a AP. I know it's not a Firearm as per Canadian law because the velocity is less than 500 ft/sec. Is it ok to have the cylinders c...

WTB Small or XS Grip for A Hammerli 480 K2 RH
My daughter is shooting a Hammerli 480 K2 which has a med rh grip. We attended a training camp this weekend. It was suggested I should try to acquire a XS or small RH grip. I know I could be looking for a needle in a hay stack was hoping to find something used. Will buy new if need be, just trying t...

Hammerli Barrel Weights
Would anyone know where I could find some barrel weights for a Hammerli 480 K2. My daughter has been shooting Air and Standard pistol. Her Standard pistol performance is exceeding her air pistol performance. Talking with the fellow that is coaching (helping) her, He thought some weight may settle do...

Re-Sealing Walther LGR
I have a old LGR that was handed down to me. It doesn't hold air and I would love to get it working. From what I understand there is 3 seals, main and 2 breech. With any luck at all it will not require a piston. I have located the seals (moderator) and I was wondering is replacing the seals a reason...

Thanks everyone for the information. We just got back from Junior night and yes she is hooked. The instructor is willing to lend her his gun for a while. So I will see if her interest level keeps up. And yes while I haven't tried AP yet I definetly have an interest, so another may be in future. My d...

Good gun for a 13yrs old girl
So my daughter wants to take up Air Pistol. Recently at our local club Junior night she was invited to try 10m Air Pistol. She managed to put 10 of 10 shots on the target. To say she was automatically HOOKED would be an under-statement. My back ground is in the shotgun world, I'm a Trapshooter. So t...

Buying Air Pistol in USA and bringing into Canada
Is there any issues buying a gun in the USA and bringing into Canada. I am contemplating buying my daughter an Air Pistol. I know through Trapshooting and having ATF permits to travel back and forth to competitions that I want to stay on the good side of the ATF. My thoughts could be wrong from a Ca...
