Paulo, Use the music wire, stainless is unnecessary, you can probably find some locally if you check around at music stores. I had mine because I ordered a roll to restring a bowed Psaltry. Paperclips are made from poor quality steel and will be too thick as a rule. The poor quality steel will cause...

It was W6 size .016", known as Zither wire. Small stuff used on my Bowed Psaltry. Yes I shoot and play music doing neither with any great facility, but lots of enthusiasm. So .016 to .018 should work, YMMV, remember to wind the spring counter clockwise around a screwdriver handle or some other ...

Good question, not to be smart but the "right" thickness, seriously though I don't know, I'll have to mic it and see. It was some scrap I had on hand from another project.

TOZ - Strip & Clean Experience

Hi, I decided I'd do what I always do with a new gun, fully strip and clean. Not something for the weak at heart, but I'm not. Got the ol'TOZ stripped and cleaned. When re-assembling I slipped and "ping" the :$;)($ Cocking Lever Spring goes flying out into the shop hopelessly lost in my or...

Have any of you been able to find a US dealer for IROSA products? Specifically the Ti600 Compensator? I contacted them but the "sales department" hasn't contacted me "back".

I may get defeated but dang is this thing a tack driver I feel like I'm zapping the target! This is so cool! I probably can't shoot 300 yet but the dang thing is fun to shoot! I gotta start exercising my arm, I get tired quick. People think shooting isn't "athletic", well let them try 60 s...

I just got my TOZ!

Hi all,

I just wanted to post! I picked up my TOZ-35 today! The fun begins! If anyone has a copy of the original owners manual I'd really appreciate a copy.

Photos to follow,

Yep that's what I was thinking sounds not too workable (unlike the Walther OSP). If it's a matter of just removing metal from the breach face I can do that in my lathe though. Moving the breech face forward and rechambering is definitely in my machine shop vocabulary.

Pardini magazine compatibility

Is there someone out there that can verify if a .22 long rifle magazine for a Pardini SP will fit in a GP (the .22 short gun)?

Thanks in advance,

Remember the Italian guys get all the girls but the big ugly Russians win all the Olympic medals (remember Alexiev in weight lifting).

I plan on using my ugly TOZ to win all the matches and pocket the 2k I didn't spend on a "Italian job".

Just a little humor from your ol' Uncle Duke

Decision made (without using ruses metholodgy), I have purchased a TOZ 35!

Now the fun begins! Thanks for all your advice on FP! The hard part starts now waiting for it to arrive! I guess I'll go try to find some Ely match to try in it when it arrives!

Borz, You make a valid point about the TOZ and finger length. That is worrisome for me since I do not have large hands or long fingers. I know I can save a little by going with the TOZ but I worry about the grip thing. If I go with a Hammerli 162e I wonder if the electric triggervis going to be a bi...

Well obviously I don't expect to be punished for being less than knowledgable concerning a shooting discipline I have little experience with. However I am not a shooting novice and do expect not to be made fun of because I ask for opinions concerning equipment. I asked so that I can get something to...

Free Pistol, More Choices

Hi,

Well now that I have a thread started on the standard pistol what advice can I get from you all on a Free Pistol

TOZ, Hammerli 160/162e, Pardini PGP 75, Morini CM84e?

Your thoughts, I am leaning toward the TOZ but the Hammerli and CM84e are tempting.

Advice, thoughts?

Bullseye or ISSF style leagues or matches in mid-Tennessee

Hi all,

Are there any bullseye or ISSF style leagues or regular matches in the mid Tennessee area? I am moving to Nashville and would like to find a club/group to shoot with.

If not, all you Nashville shooters out there...let's talk about starting one!

Price performance wise I think the GSP is really not worth the money, I can't find anything listed anywhere for less than 1k. Shoot even totally useless OSPs are listed for over 1k when they become available. Only Larrys seems to price them fairly. I have been tempted to buy a $600 Pardini .22 short...

Yea the mp90 is a consideration but above my budget it's down to the Nygord set up Pardini SP and the Hammerli SP20 with the Pardini costing $100 more and hitting my funds limit. I haven't been able to locate any other used guns that fit my present budget. Unless you all have something to point me t...
