Re: What rifle
Take a look at the websites Benchrest Central and Benchrest Rimfire. Lots of information there. Also, the International Benchrest Shooters website has information on centerfire benchrest.

Re: 300m Free rifle
I think you can get a very good USA made rifle for use in 300 meter position shooting and other prone shooting for considerably less than the cost of the Europeon rifles. Longrifles in South Dakota makes custom rifles as shown in the link to their international rifles. I don't know what the cost of ...

Re: CCI copper plated ammo for Anschutz 54
Here is a link to an article about barrel fouling and cleaning rim fire rifles. It mentions copper plated bullets, but I don't think it indicates they will harm the barrel.

Re: How to buy a Bleiker in the US
If you want to purchase a Bleiker, that is certainly your choice. I think Long Rifles could build a very good custom target rifle to you specifications for a lot less than $9000 that will perform just as good as a Bleiker.

http://riflemansjournal.blogspot.com/2012/05/good-stuff-lipski-rear-sight-base.html Here is a link discussing using Lipski base to attach rear sight to a rail. I think you could also attach it to a Weaver, or other scope base. I did read on the National Match Competition website that someone said he...

http://www.aihpa.com/Rifle%20Projects/Tikka%20T3%20S3%206.5/S3%206.5.htm The above is a link to an article written by an Australian shooter who used a Tikka varmint rifle as the basis for a target rifle. For the rear sight he just put a weaver scope base onto the rifle and attached a top mount sight...

Re: Riser blocks for Match 64 action?
Does anyone know if there are riser blocks available that will work on a Match 64 action without blocking the bolt handle? All the Centra/Gehmann ones that I've used over the years on my Match 54 action are too wide. Jason This riser from 10.9 worked for my 1903. http://www.10pt9.com/Sighting/Sight...

I have a 1903 rifle. I was shooting Wolf Match and was quite satisfied with it. But, I recently bought CCI Standard Velocity at significantly less cost and found that the CCI shoots as well as the Wolf in my rifle. I have been getting 10 shot groups of about a half inch (usually a little less) at 50...

I don't think it likely there will be a US mass-produced competitive smallbore rifle because of lack of sufficient demand to support producing a rifle. There are a number of companies making very good AR 15 based rifles for NRA high power competition such as White Oak Precision and Compass Lake. I t...

For my homemaid wooden pellet trap I made the backer out of a piece of 1/2 inch thick rubber-like material that came from a rock quarry conveyer belt. I think it is kevlar. We use this at our gunclub for target backers. A pellet will not put even a dint in this material and there is no clang when a ...

I bought a Ram Mount clamp I ordered from Mount Depot for about $22. You also have to buy an arm and a camera mount which you can attach to your scope for about $15 as I recall. I like this better than the scope head mount I got from Champion's Choice. The arm rotates on a ball and gives almost unli...
