I was actually in the same boat you are in currently in 1991 when I transferred from UT-Arlington (that had just cut our funding after making Collegiate Nationals as a team in Free Pistol) and transferred to UT-Dallas that had no athletic program at all at that time. The older Walther GSP's can be retrofitted with a bottom metal adapter that will fit the newer grips with the bolt in the bottom. It is cheap and easy to do if you do end up getting a Walther GSP frame with the side screws. Mine was just like that and I bought the adapter from ISS to convert my GPS ...

I think for $190 you got a good deal as long as it holds together. I would add just make sure you get the trigger set up the way you like it and practice, practice and practice with it. You should be able to get fairly good scores with it.

I actually used one of these for a year while I was shooting collegiate since I was having severe elbow problems and managed to hit some fairly good scores with it.
