Since you already have the 1907 and its a weight issue, what about saving the money on the 1903 stock and spending it on a stainless reduced length lilja barrel (it will need to be fitted to the 1907 by a gunsmith)? We did something similar to my sons 1907, added a ss barrel that was shorter, added ...

They were good to work with during our barrel testing. Replied promptly and even expedited us so the gun was back in time to practice for NJOSC.

One of the interesting things I came across in the last year was an air rifle upper for an AR-15. The guys using it were doing it to practice indoors during the winter, so it had the heavy weight and two stage heavy trigger pull, just adapted to shoot air rifle. I think it came from crosman.

Travel shrink/swell?

We have been talking about traveling this upcoming year to Ft. Benning or Anniston, but I'm a bit concerned about the rifles and swelling due to humidity. We live in a semi-arid desert climate (think OTC) and really havent travelled with the guns much other than in our region. My son shoots a 1907 w...

This is going to take a slight tangent based on they last posting. Sitting in the coaches wrap up meeting for Air Rifle it was entertaining to see the split between those that see Nationals as a "4-H" event and those that shoot competitive and want to move in that direction. We were fortun...

FWIW - my son is 12 and shoots a 1907. It was still heavy for him out of the box so his coach switched out the barrel for a shortened stainless steel barrel and reduced the weight by about 2 lbs. Since the barrel was shortened by 6-inches we compensated by adding a Uptagrafft Extension Tube. So esse...

Personal Megalink for PC opinion?

Does anyone have experience or thought on these for home use? I'm looking for a good electronic trainer that can be taken down and setup easily that simulates ISSF and costs less than the rifle. Im not too familiar with SIUS other than seeing them do a presentation at the Coaches Conference. We also...

I think Mr. Martin outlined it well. In our 4-H program for the shooters that are interested in a possible collegiate career I incorporate the 4-H/USAS Passport program instead of the NRA/Winchester. It gets them used to Olympic Offhand and 3P, they start shooting USAS PTO's which starts their recor...

I can do some checking on ours, as we have run three of them down at the OTC for PTOs and other events. All 3 came from the Friends of the NRA. They seemed to be close to bottoming out if I recall correctly. The biggest mod I would like to do is remove the sling pin location and add a rail for adjus...

Jury still out, but Sparks made me laugh, my 10 year old beat Campriani in 1 shot with a 10.8 over Campriani's 10.4. However that is such a memorable awesome day, how many days do you get to shoot next to an inspirational figure for you? As a coach I appreciate the interaction with the Olympic level...

Peter Sidi - Bronze - Started in First Nicco Campriani - 8th - started in 2nd Just interesting...What will coaches around the ...

Lots of discussion here on this topic, I would definitely do a search. Just for back ground reference, I have a J3 11 year old precision shooter 4'10 90 lbs, so I can sympathize with your concern and questions. My quick two cents (which I'm sure is different than others) is this: IF you want to move...

Your way to nice. I'm one of two 4-H leaders so I feel your concern with club survival impacts. When we hold smallbore training many times we have 20 kids, so safety is paramount. The kids get a warning and if they violate it they are removed from the line. As a 4-H leader and range safety officer I...

Here is the USA Shooting press release: http://www.usashooting.org/news/2013/2/17/339-rocky-mountain-rifle-champs-showcase-new-finals-format-to-the-favor-of-some This should give some people some things to discuss as the finals were very interesting and followed the "new" format. I'm not s...

Right below the scores is the national invite forms. Just being proactive I would probably print those off and send them in since they are due in a week, February 22nd.
