Re: 2017-2018 USAS JOs now running by ISSF rules

Eliz first custom jacket, ordered right before the rule change, had a seam placed exactly where her elbow goes in standing. They put it there on purpose, i remember them measuring where her elbow went. I also remember stitching in a legal panal by hand till 3am on match day!! Fun times

Re: Rear iris questions

Keep it simple.. One of those things they will forget to adjust in the heat of battle. Id suggest apature size is most important followed by a handful of colors. If theres enough light my eyes prefer an amber color. Yellow seems to hurt. I guess thats why they make more than one color.

10.9 is another good source to get pellets for testing. There are advantages to doing it yourself

As much variation as eley red has from lot to lot i suspect that the variation is intentional.

Re: Palmyra Open

Winter airgun and jr olympics are two of the best if not the best places for college coaches to observe. They want to actually watch her shoot. Several of the college teams are hosting air and SB matches now set up just like college matches. After these the coaches usually give a talk and interact w...

Re: Question on Rules

JUnior olympics (usa match) , in my opinion are much much more junior friendly than half a dzn yrs ago. That said there will always be range officers that act like that. I tell my shooters to just laugh at them, preferably on the inside. I also harrass them occasionally at practice.

Re: How often to clean my bloop tube?

My daughters carbon tube shines if you pass two dry cloths on a 12g mope before shooting (after it sits and is dry). Much harder to clean after shooting with this type. Maybe with time that will change.

22ammo testing at 100yds

In the past ive always tested at 50 and assumed/hoped it shot well at 100. This go im testing at 100 first. Do i need to retest at 50 before buying? Im sure when we have a case it will be shot a lot at 50 but its too late then. Thanks

Re: Walther KK500 Action fit into a KK300 Stock?

It wont drop in. The action screws are much different.

The 500 action is wider than the 300, im not sure there is enough metal on the 300 stock to machine it wider.

With all due respect to both of you, if they are shooting BB gun you need to keep it fun. Writing in a journal isn't fun. Being made to write in a journal is punishment.

Re: Anschutz 9015 ONE stock or precise

I was very intrigued by the design of the "one" stock. Had advantages over other stocks i thought. What problems do others see with it? Why would range officers not like it?
Thanks!

Re: Drive U nutz pellet test

A good rifle shooter can buy 5-10 points with pellet testing. A good pistol shooter probably cant buy any. Its apples and oranges. I shot rovers favorite pellet today in my daughters new rifle. The 10 shot group was near quarter size. I did wonder if there was something wrong with the gun. But sever...

Re: A National Match Discussion

Ive said it before, if you want the young generation to shoot at a national level match you must have electronics. We dont mind shooting on paper at home but if we are going to spend $1000 on a big match we are going to pick one shot on electronics. Its a no brainer decision as a parent and as a tea...

Re: Setting up an air sports club, what would people like to

Shooting draws people who are naturally competative. It doesnt matter if it starts with shooting a beer can at 10 yds, when that gets too easy it gets moved to 20. Shooters on paper start getting some in the black and quickly want to get more. And the cycle begins. Some programs here in illinois are...
