I'm also north of the border. You should check with Canada Customs about bringing it back. That may be the most troublesome. The US customs are less concerned but may have trouble with your AP if it doesn't have a safety. That has caused trouble in the past. Check with both Customs and get reference...

I'm told that HV ammo will cause erosion to the chamber area over time but that will take a long time and will happen to non-match rifles as well.
Generally HV will not be quite as accurate due to supersonic buffeting once the bullet has left the barrel. Accuracy is the name of the game.

54 vs. 64

I think the price difference always prompts the question. The 54 is built heavier, has more parts and connects to a better/more adjustable trigger. It's more likely going to last longer and stay consistent. I personally don't understand the size of the price difference. If you can afford a 54 action...

handstop

I had a 2600 and loved the factory handstop. It had enough clearance so as not to restrict circulation in my hand and was easy to disconnect the sling from. IMHO

I "get it", but I hate any part of my legal/law abiding life used in such a perverted way to make someone elses point.

AI wants outrage and they've enlisted us, certainly without our consent.

Locking nut

I would go to a hardware speciality store first, with the iris, and match it up to a metric, thin, probably hex head nut. If you have no success that route then I would email or better yet phone Champions Choice. They may have to order one unless they would take one off a stock item and order one fo...

stipple

Use a Dremel or equivalent tool with a small round burr (I think the one I use is a Dremel #107). Do a little practice on a scrap piece of wood. I guarantee you it's not hard and with a little practice it may even look like a factory finish.

Seals

They might not be "run of the mill" but they are just seals. If your city has an industrial seal wholesaler, you may be able to take a sample in and once they know what pressure the seal is exposed to, hopefully they can fix you up. I go to a place called "Kepco" where I live and...

I use a Gehmann 595. The quality is good but I'm not convinced of the need for the locking feature for smallbore. The adjustment detents are crisp and solid.

#9 is the screw in front of the trigger guard (on the sheet metal that the trigger guard is attached- small slotted) #10 and 11, are to the rear to the trigger itself. 10 appears to the be the one on the same side, relatively as the safety. Short of playing around with mine, I hope this helps. #9 is...

I also develpoed tendonitis in my right elbow in 2004. Probably a coincidence but I was also shooting a Pardini (K2-AP). After being diagnosed and establishing a treatment regimen, it still took almost 18 mos. to recover. During that time I switched to left hand, to stay in it and I because I enjoy ...

Shoes

As I posted earlier, I have the Sauer shoes. and I have to agree that the feedback is significant. As soon as you're off stance a little you can feel pressure on the top or side of your foot. When you are centered and balanced you feel no pressure and the sensation that you are "glued" to ...

pistol shoes

I was feeling a little crazy one day and had a little "mad" money so I went ahead and ordered a pair of Sauer "easy" pistol shoes. I'm a "club shooter" only, and have tried skateboard shoes, but I have to say that I feel extremely "planted" on the floor with t...

I shot a Pardini K2 in co2 for several years, and I'll share my experience for what its worth. I didn't want to sit around waiting for the cylinders to chill, but found with some experimentation that a "timed" 10 minutes in the freezer compartment of my fridge was optimum for a near perfec...

Albert, I haven't taken the range time to check torque variations against ammo types/velocities, and since winter has set in, I won't have an opportunity until next spring.
