Re: Colt 1911 45 ACP Gold Cup National Match
Thanks. Is the Springfield RO good out of the box? Yiogo Depends who you ask. I've shot a couple of them and found that they shoot like most production 1911s, not a competition gun for a serious competitor. Ask that question on Bullseye L forum and they all shoot less than 3" groups at 50 yards.

Re: Pardini Rapid Fire
I talked with the Pardini folks about this last year. The Bullseye model has a heavier bolt to delay the cycling of the action, they found their guns shot better by slowing the action a little. For 50 yard shooting you'll definitely want the bullseye model. The Rapid Fire model is for International ...

Re:
The EIC matches should stay true to the "Service Pistol" catagory. Hell, or just leave it like it is and add another game with all these proposed changes. I dont care, but I know one thing, accuracy is the name of this game, and you will still have to dump a bunch of money in those guns t...

Re: cmp rule changes
The service pistol match should be any service pistol past or present with iron sights. The idea of buying a 3000 hard ball gun when an off the shelf range officer is almost as good is just silly. There's no requirement for a custom built hardball gun. Change the grip safety, and whatever else is r...

Roze Distribution is the retail arm of Zero Bullet Company. Do a search and you'll find them, it's how you buy direct from Zero.

Re: How Much Do Custom Grips Help ?
Ok, I am looking to improve my BE score which after practicing alternating with a 22 and 45 for almost a year is only in the low 80's. Now that I have red dot mounted I see much more movement than I noticed with iron sights. I attribute some movement to not enough endurance in shoulders and arm mus...

Aimpoint Micro series. Finer adjustments, doesn't use rings that lose their zero when removed for cleaning, less parallax at 50 yards, longer battery life, lower to the bore centerline... and a few others. More expensive? Yes. Do they reduce variables to why the shot isn't an 'X'? Yes. Was a test d...

Re: Indicators: Dots vs. Iron sights
While shooting with a dot, I use "indicators" that let me know the shot will be an I see the dot come into the tube from 1:00 position. I have the dot as dull as possible (position 1 indoor, 2 or 3 outdoor) The dot settles about 5:00 position half way between edge of black and X My squeez...
