Re: Reliability of Pardini Sp and Match Guns MG4

I have 10K rounds on my Pardini SP and only have had one malfunction (ammo related). I replaced the recoil spring at 9K.

Re: Pardini SP Bullseye Edition ammo choice

I have one of the Pardini SP new Bullseye Editions. I have used over 6K rounds of CCI SV, 1K Eley Tenex, 2K SK standard plus, and 1k of the Federal Ultramatch (non dimple). Zero malfunctions in all of the above rounds fired. The only malfunction I have had with this pistol was with a brick Eley Spor...

Re: New bullseye pistol

I wouldn't rule out accuracy x in your search for a 45. I looked at them at perry last year. I am pretty impressed with the craftsmanship and the accuracy.

Re: High $ ammo

I personally use Tenex at Outdoor Bullseye 50yd slow fires only. I shoot a Pardini SP Bullseye. As far as groups go SK standard, CCI standard, Lapua Center X, and Tenex will all shoot X-ring. I shoot Tenex because my calls are way better and I notice my called bad shots aren't as bad with Tenex. A s...

Try putting a drop of lube on the top round in the mag if that doesn't work. try different magazines. I have had the same problem just not consistently with one type of mag. Switched magazines and problems were solved.

I have a SPBE as well and my setup is the following: all steel weights installed, the top two on each side with the springs against the retaining plate, and the bottom one on each side with the spring behind the weight so the weight is against the retaining plate. I did this in trial and error. I sw...

I have been using all the weights in on my SP bullseye using irons. I have the bottom weight on each side with the spring towards the back of the gun and the rest with the spring towards the front of the gun. That seemed to help damper most of the felt recoil for me in timed and rapid. I have shot s...

I personally went with a Pardini SP Bullseye. I am currently shooting Iron Sights as well. I really do like the sights on mine. The recoil recover is excellent and the trigger is one of my favorites to date. The Walthers are also a really good gun. There are a couple guys up here that have the GSPs ...

I set my Pardini SP bullseye model up as follows: all weights in, top 4 weights the springs are against the cover plate you take off to see weights, and the the bottom two have the weights against the cover plate. This setup seemed to help with noticed recoil over haveing all 6 with the springs agai...

I have a Ruger Mk III comp target model. One of the best starter 22 pistols around for a resonable price. They are very accurate. Sub 1" groups at 50yds. Also super relieable. It can take you to master and beyond.

The Pardini's are a great pistol. I just got one the other day and it feels great and shoots like a dream. It has IMHO the best iron sights I have yet to see on a 22. Fully adjustable trigger and weight system. Another pistol you may want to look at that is not on your list is a Walther GSP Expert o...

I was considering the Walther at first but went with a new SP Bullseye (haven't recieved it yet). The main reason I did this is because of the longer sight radius on the Pardini for shooting Iron Sights. I moved from shooting dots to Irons and will probably move back some year. I am also trying to g...

Are you talking about the recoil spring or the actual mainspring?
The mainspring in the mainspring housing below the grip safety. This spring is typically around 18lbs. The recoil springs can vary from 10 to 18lbs depending on your setup of each gun.

I haven't tried any jacketed bullets out of my wad guns. I use 200gr SWC with 3.7gr Clays. They shoot 1.5" group at 50yds. I will not be switching to jacketed bullets due to the fact cheap lead bullets perform flawlessly. 200gr SWC can be picky on powder choice and charge weight. Also try a dif...

The ones I used were from missouri bullet company. They are hard cast. I had good luck with them. The loads for 50ft and 25yds that I was using was 1.9grs of Clays. For 50 yds I had to bump it up to 2.4grs I think. The 1.9 gr load destabilzed between 25yds and 50yds.

tenx9, you may want to try DEWC that is what I have used in a revolver for indoor and outdoors. They seem to shoot very well. I had to move up in the powder charge to get my indoor loads to stablize at 50yds. But then again my load was pretty light for indoors. I personally love to use clays. I have...
