Hi Robert, as Tim S said there were two kinds of this old Anschutz hand stops out. Both are now out of production but for the model with the ball sling swivel you can buy this swivel still from Anschutz. This swivel with the ball is also used on the 'moderner' hand stop 4751 and is really common. Fo...

As jet we shooters can all be happy because of the fact this shooting simulation with light or laser doesn't really work. But from a technical point it can be improved to a state were it will work in the eyes of the believers and the clueless crowd. We shooters have to be really alert. The danger co...

Hi David, so all the rumors we have heard here in Germany about the necessity having a special kind of restricted (military) area for the shooting events because of the weapon laws in England, particularly the ban of the hand guns, were wrong? And if they were wrong, why had your pistol shooting tea...

Ulrich is on the cover. Yeah, he is without any doubt our finest shooting model and we all know, sex sells! And not to mention here, this remarkable resemblance with the Ukraine world class shooter Olena Kostevych is only by pure chance. Wish you all a happy new year. Regards from good old Germany ...

The description could apply to the GECO .22lr Rifle, a brand of the RUAG Ammotec GmbH, Switzerland and Germany. The GECO .22lr Rifle is a low cost rimfire ammo and for that price not bad. I have used them some years as the host in some traditional matches where the ammo was provided to the shooters ...

This record on the Eley site seems now a little outdated. The above picture shows a test on the new Eley test range in Fellach, Germany. This test was posted from a shooter from Poland on the NZL target shooting forum and as far i know this Bleiker rifle was from the former Czech Olympic champion Mi...

Hei Jiri, i would say there is no much risk buying that rifle for that price. The system looks fine and seems to me in good condition and it doesn't need much skills to make the stock also look a little bit more shiny, if you like that. You can find some nice pictures here in the forum of some polis...

Hi David and other interested, on the internet site of the WSB - http://www.wsb1861.de - they say the preliminary date of ISAS 2014 is 13.03 - 19.03 . So they are planning a slightly different schedule in 2014 with starting at Thursday and finishing on Wednesday the other week. But for going sure wi...

Hi Jiri, so it seems the barrel is not the the original factory build in barrel. That must not mean the rifle is bad or there is something wrong with the rifle. There are some rifles out with exchanged barrels. Reasons therefore are worn out or damaged barrels and sometimes the owner would only incr...

Hi Jiri, first, it seams to me 250 EUR is a real good price for an good Anschutz Super Match like that. Here in Germany the street price for such rifles is normal not under 500 EUR and most of them have then only the Standard stock. You can watch the German internet auctions site http://www.egun.de ...

Dear Tim, as jet i have only seen the from Anschutz given serial numbers on the left front side of the action. The real stamp from the 'Beschussamt', this art of eagle sign with the letter N is normal on the barrel and also on the action, on the bold and on the bold handle. The coded date and the si...

Hi Kim, on the left side of your barrel near the action should be some proof test stamps like shown in the picture below. They are from the German firearms testing organization. The two letters show the year of testing and also the approximate year of building in coded form. The code for determining...

Hi, ... it separates the people who shoot deep versus those who dont. sure, it does. But the big question is, are those deep shoots really the result of better skills or only more or less luck because of the statistical influence of the ammo at that day in that match? Take a closer look at the follo...

Hi Abi, excuse me for my more general answer at first. After looking and comparing the results of the last four world cups 10m air rifle w this year it is obvious for me, that this linear scaling from 380 <> 9.5 for normal scoring to 414.2 (80% of 436) doesn't work. 414.2 will give an average of 10....

Hi David, target shooting was ever a game about avoiding mistakes. If an outstanding shooter in the past was able to hold and release all the shoots in the 10 ring, then he could do the maximum. Surely there was ever this influence of the ammo and there was ever this sharp border between a 10 and a ...

Hi Abi, as i mentioned in some older postings, this new decimal scoring the whole match brings more luck and fortune in the game, but at this time most of the shooters and also the non shooters don't agree with me at this point. Maybe they don't really understand statistical processes in the role of...

Hallo gwsb, good comment! And if someone will do it the right way, with an 45 degree steel plate including a container for the fallen pellets, it is also easy, to extend this with an transport system for the normal targets, also and even for home use. The transport systems with an electrical motor a...

Hi Peashooter, first thought, are you a prone shooter? As i know, this is the preferred position for most of the Kiwi rifle shooters. The movement of the rifle in that position works normal the way you describe. One tip, a NPA over the bull after breathing (normal) out may also not the best solution...
