Re: Infighting at USA Shooting

Ok, found the bit in the bylaws about term limits: W. Term Limits. No member of the Board may serve more than eight years without a two (2) consecutive year interruption of service on the Board with the following exceptions: Was there no list of current board members provided to the board members on...

Re: Infighting at USA Shooting

Ok I'm confused. Apparently Gary Anderson has been serving on the board for a continuous 20 year period - in breach of the bylaws. But here in June 2013 the USA shooting website states: http://www.usashooting.org/news/2013/6/12/403-usa-shooting-seats-new-board-members-and-selects-officers-during-spr...

I don't think it's clear at all. Where do you find the need for an air pistol permit? "NOTE: Possesion of any type of BB or Pellet gun is illegal and/ or licensed in NY City and a few other cities in NY State like Yonkers" http://ocshooters.com/Hand/buyairgun.htm http://www.lcav.org/conte...

Rover, thanks for your reply, you are correct, nobody can search your car whithout a valid reason, I guess anybody can drive in NYC with whatever they want, air, fire etc and not get noticed by the police; after all, that is how the bad people do it all the times. but I guess if anybody wants to be...

Re: The wheel

has just come around again. In the '50s, at Perry, you could shoot the LR pistol you had brought for the 3-gun matches in RF and even, if you wanted the practice, in Free.More to the point, hits were counted first. 60 hits beat 59 hits regardless of score. Shoot a 590 with a miss and wind up on page ...

It's also good to write down the sight changing procedure in your shooting diary, for each gun. Nothing worse than adjusting your sights and then realising you've turned them the wrong way when you look in the scope :)

Service Pistol course of fire: http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/nrc_pa/guide10.pdf Be aware that this may be copyrighted for Aussie R.O. use only, but I'm sure it's fine for you to read. Service requires holsters. I believe the closest thing in the USA is "Police Pistol Match". Tremendous f...

Re: Making it Special

No international competition I know of shoots twice, certainly not at World Cups or Olympics, although I know some Regional Champs (Oceania for one) has a team match as well as an individual match. They are never shot on consecutive days however. Warren Just one correction Warren, I believe they ha...

I would love to see the Nationals shot over a shorter period. Having plenty of experience shooting 7 different matches over a 3 day weekend in Australian Open competitions, shooting 5 events (10 matches) over 2 weeks is just madness. Especially given that holiday time in the USA is not exactly gener...
