On my 480 (fixed cylinder), it looks like some sort of small o-ring there at the read end of the tank.....just forward of the trigger. ANy way I can replace that? Its what is leaking. BTW, I havent had much luck from Larry's, Pilk, and have email in to Umarex and the folks in Canada.......no path ye...

Thanks for the thoughts!
I'll try Pilk. I've tried calling Larry's a number of times with no answer, and email hasnt been returned yet. Hopefully they can catch up sometime!

Help- Hammerli 480 leaks?

Hi- I have a mid 90's Hammerli 480, original owner. It seems to have developed a leak. I've looked at the manual and exploded parts diagram and it doesnt show the particular part thats leaking. If I go directly forward of the trigger, on centerline with the air cylinder, there is a small circular ra...

I found more on glasses and such with additional searches on this forum.......sorry. Looks like two sets are pretty much needed unless contacts are successful. Do contacts work well with most 'normal' prescriptions for prone? Have never tried them..... I think my default is shooting glasses but curi...

I'm returning after many years off and for iron sights have to use glasses. I've grown nearsighted, opposite of what happens to most. Where I'm finding difficulty is in the prone position, getting the lense lined up well. It looks like best options are to get shooting specific glasses that ride very...

thanks. I guess I asked a lot of questions at once.

1. does the stock anschutz 2013 barrel have a conical breech end or does it have extractor slots.

2. if it has extractor slots cut, then how is it indexed?

thanks!

How does the 2013 Action index the barrel rotationally?

I've never taken a close look at a 2013 action/bolt, much less removed the barrel. I understand the clamping system and how its headspaced, but unsure how the barrel is indexed radially/rotationally, and how is that maintained, especially if using a barrel with front sight grooves/dovetail machined ...

Your biggest short term problem will be barrel fouling most likely. High speed unplated bullets can lead badly, plated will most likely desposit some copper that will need copper solvent etc to remove. From what I've understood on smallbore barrel throat erosion, the primary cause is the bullet hitt...
