For all but elite shooters any of the top three pellets you tested would be fine and your scores would not be harmed by using any of them. For those on a tight budget it is also advisable to determine which of the lower priced pellets give adequate accuracy for practice. Then stock up and move on to...

You really need to assess your individual situation and goals. As Bob said he is not looking to compete at the top levels, just having fun on a local level. Here in Alaska many will never get to the accuracy potential of their IZH's or even Daisy's and for them these are fine. Others enjoy shooting ...

Seems logical that if you made a change and then your results go downhill, then perhaps that was not a performance enhancing change. If 30 shots is all you have taken that may not be enough of experimental time but if the poor results continue, going back to the original setting would seem appropria...

Lanny Bassham books are an excellent place to start. 2nd determine what your goals are and get a coach to help you reach them. Good luck!

OJ the flat plate is for adding trigger weight. As for the leaking unfortunately this seems to be a problem for the 7xx series of Daisy AP's. Our Jr. club has 6 of them and leaking is a common problem. Changing the valve sometimes fixes it and sometimes not. Accuracy is very good considering the cos...

Top Equipment for Sport Pistol

I am going to be starting up a Jr Mens and Jr Womens sport pistol program late spring and would like to know what the top shooters are using. Also for those on a shoestring budget are Ruger's or Brownings ok?

Are B-17's and B-37's still the targets?

I think you will find this minor one time expense is more than made up for by the cost savings of not having to drive to a range just one time.

My FWB90 has been very reliable. The battery can be found at Batteries Plus for about $7. It is old tech and a bit nose heavy, but shoots quite well. Mine chronographs @ 420fps with R10 lights. SD of less than 5fps. Not bad for a 30 year old AP.

Air Pistols are just as accurate as air rifles but are more difficult to hold still.

Bob

I don't think any pistol shooter wants to see our discipline end up like rifle clothing wise. So far we have been able to hold the line at stiff shoes that are not above the ankle. Hope that is as far as it goes!

Do you have some pictures to share? They would be good to use when trying to hold a match in a hotel elsewhere so we could show that it is already being done.

Thanks in advance.

Since women and men compete separately I don't think sports bra's are an issue. If a man wore a sports bra, besides looking a bit foolish it would most likely be a violation.

Lets keep artificial supports out of Pistol. It keeps the competition even and lowers the cost.

Richard makes some very good points. I would not want to see changes allowed in the J3-S3 classifications myself as right now no extra money needs to be spent on clothing etc. as it does in rifle just to be competitive. Shooting Jackets, Boots, etc. are not allowed in Pistol. That is a good thing. I...

I have always been told to buy the best equipment you can afford and then don't look back but train as if what you have is the best in the world.

I am getting interested in AP and noticed at the WAG championship that the top shooters were shooting LP10's, LP2 or Morini. There must be a reason.

I am new to this forum but have a shooting buddy who had surgery on a shoulder which caused him to shoot left handed for a few years. After a few months he was shooting nearly as well as when he shot right handed. Perhaps this would give your elbow the rest it needs to heal and you can stay in the s...
