Re: Do i NEED to use a blinder?

This is just my personal experience. I started shooting with an eye patch/occluded over my non-dominant eye. But over time, my hubris said that is not “mucho” enough, so I switched to two eye open shooting. It takes a bit of conscious suppression of non-dominant eye, ignoring double vision, making d...

Re: Spoting scope for 10 meters?

I used to have a table top spotting scope.

But now I just use an IMAGE Stabilizer Canon IS II 12x36 hand held binocular.

Super easy to pick up 10m target. Just throw into bag, and go everywhere.

But the real advantage is concert, sport, sky, beaches, airplanes, just all around diversion.

Re: PCP air compressor recommendation

After another epic battle with my Hill MK5 pump, I noticed the leak comes from base hose connection. I took it apart, accidentally strip the dowty metal seal’s seal. Now pump is leaking at that dowty seal. How do I get the proper size dowty seal? How do you measure the size of those things? Where ca...

GX CS3-1 is in deep discount.

What is the advantage of GX 4 except it is battery charged, mobile to carry into woods for your turkey hunts?

Intrinsically, mechanically a better unit?

PCP air compressor recommendation

Just had an epic battle with my Hill MK5 pump. I took it apart, it was just full of grime and rust inside. I changed all major inner seals, clean up, and lubricated. Still no go. So I am going to for the PCP air compressor route now. Thought about scuba tank, but not interested in doing periodic tan...

Re: New AV 46M FPS Adjustment

Enjoy your higher velocity. But stay away from the temptation and joy of going higher. I had adjusted my velocity to match LP10 years back. Wonderful sharp beast, until one day, the lever circular piston hinge just cracked. A hairline fracture. Velocity dropped, pellet would not even make it out of ...

Plenty accurate at 25 yards, at 10 yards should be very accurate half a dime size.

US life expectancy is getting lower.

Average American male is less than 75, which is one year less than Mexican male, and four years less than British.

Re: High and I can't set the Baikal IZH 46M any lower

I had a friend 3-D printed the square block with front sight on top. He 3-D printed multiple blocks with different sight heights for me. I really recommend you do that, for two reasons. One, it solves your front sight height problem. Two, more important for me, it lessen that IZH 46 front heaviness.

It is triangular with the top cut flat.

Now, whether this eye drop is legal for Olympic pistol competition is a different story. For me, I don’t think it is illegal. I need to see to compete.

Re: Sight Image

Center hold works just as well.

Just have to convince your not to aim at the center of that black target.

Any area of that black target will hold.

Just to convince and believe any where on black target will do.

You can see your alignment well on black target, it doesn’t have to be sub-6.

Re: After a Spotting Scope recommendation for 25m

Looking at moon crater, Saturn ring, bikinis on beach, or just looking at tree leaves heaving. Works wonder on paper targets. I had a Canon. But will get...
