Hi Guys, Thanks for the excellent replys. I think that to a large degree you may be right, and that I am just phsycing myself out a little. Also the suggestion to build repeatable consistancy, based on what I know works seems locical to focus on the positive attributes of my shooting, rather than th...

How to stop stagnation?

I have hit that stage where I have started to shoot scores over 500 in standard and centrefire, but I am worried that I am going to start stangnating soon, as I have covered all the basic training material, and have nothing new to incorparate into my training routine. At this stage, how would I modi...

lol, it's funny you mention that site, as I actually found their advet in issue 2 of A&Z Handgun magazine, and had visited their site, just to see if they were seliing any nice second hand guns. But anyway, at the same time I saw they sold the MG2.....a little more expensive than what I thought ...

Yes, sorry I am steering this discussion completey off course.

No, more is not nessasary, I think you have about summed it up. It's scary the level of control and trust a government is given isn't it?

Yes my apologies to all for the diversion.

Actually the reoccuring comment I see with CCI primers, it that they are harder than most brands, even on thier rimfire cartirges (well priming compund in that case).

Benelli MP95E thoughts

Hi, Yes I am back asking for opinions on yet another pistol. As some of you may have guessed ISSF style shooting is not very popular where I live, and at my current club, and so I have to turn to this forum for advice, which is always greatly appreciated. I had always written off the benelli MP95E a...

Thanks mate. Yeah, i'd tend to agree now. My main problem however is that I am a student, so I have no form of steady income, and sometimes 'waiting a few months' can actually result in a decreace of the money in the bank account. But I do see your point, and besides I kinda wanted the pardini anywa...

It seems to be a bit of a gamble, and the only place I can find a review for them, is on american sites, by people who don't intend to use them havily, or for competing. I might stick with my original decision, and go with the pardini, as it has a very good reputation, and I know what I am getting. ...

Sparky, I am well aware that the KSP is a refinished Bakial IZH-35M, however I was more interested in the KSP, because of the improvements made, and the fact that noone imports the IZH into australia. Top End & Bill, Thanks for the advice. Yup the KSP is $1450, and I can get the pardini SP for 1...

Final advice before purchace.

Hi, Well after asking 20 questions on the AW93, and Pardini SP, I painfulky decided that I just cannot afford either one of these pistols, and was forced to foucs my search on the more entry level pistols. However the only two I could seem to find in a resonable price range were the Walther KSP200, ...

Sorry alex, I just noticed your statement that I didn't mention what type of competition I had in mind. I am primarily interested in UIT style slow fire matches, where the shooting is done offhand. However I kind of answered my own question today. I went to the range today, and shot the 617 10 shot....

Actually it's interesting you mention that, as I was reading a review on an S&W 686, where the reviewer had used a tool to compare the alignment of the cylinders to the bore, and he has also found that a couple of the cylinders were off slightly...which to me seems like a quality control problem...

Thanks for the advice guys. I think that I will take it, and only look at purchacing a second hand revolver as a bit of a 'muck around' gun. But I will probably see a nice colt gold cup sitting next to it, and wind up with that....lol.

Thanks again,

They are about the only sport 22 in that price range, arn't they (well apart from the IZH-35M).

No dryfire plug, o well. But I guess I could always just use some spent brass right?

Dry Firing A Hammerli X-ESSE / Sig Trailside

Hi,

Just a quick one, does anyone know if the trailsides have a dry fire mechanisum, or special dry fire plug at all?

Also while I am here, does anyone have any experience with this gun?

Cheers,
Dylan

Revolvers?

Hi guys, Just a quick question about revolvers. Is it possible to lighten the doble action trigger pull on a revolver, so that it is comparitable to that of a single action auto? I like revolvers, but the only thing that stops me from buying one is the ugly trigger pull. I was specifically looking a...

Thanks for the comments on the MG2 guys. They seem like quite an innovative gun, and I will certainly make an effort to try and get a look at one (providing someone here actually imports them). But I think that i now have a nice list of models and expectations to try and complie into a single purcha...

Alex, Thanks for your input on the MG2. I was concerned that being a ndew design the gun may have a few problems (this is also my concern with the Tesro), and that I will wait for other buyers to discover these problems. However any problems with the MG2 have appeared to be minor, and even people wh...

Seems rather interesting, it may be out by the time I can buy it, as I am still about 6 months away from finishing my probationary period before I can even lodge an application for my licence.....due to the second wave of Australian gun laws.... I am still thinking the SP may be my choice, as it is ...

Fortitudo, I had actually stumbled accross Don Nygords site previously and wondered what that red thing was, I gues that explains it. The thing that I found interesing in that there is a much bigger price difference between the FWB and the Pardini in the US, than there is in Australia. Walter, I had...
