I just noticed that you changed the location in your ID panel from "Brooklyn" to "E. Rochester". Have a look at this: http://www.yellowpages.com/east-rochester-ny/dive-shop

Pisces looks like it is in the same area as St Johns Fisher.

.... Our international friends have their own dirty laundry, and in a lot of cases, the politicians have already run roughshod over them restricting and dictating what they can and cannot own. Case in point: It is likely that "Guest" does not see his remarks as inflammatory or prejudicial...

I have participated in a couple of discussions that had a political direction, but I don't think they should be permitted as a general rule. There are plenty of gun and shooting forums that permit them and I would rather not see this forum get polarized that way. FWIW.

I'll go with "shaky hands" on this one. I was taught that with any semi-auto, pulling the slide back and letting it slingshot into battery is best. This allows it to move forward with the full force of the recoil spring the way it would after a shot and doesn't wear the slide stop/notch en...

If you want to take the time, go to the McMaster-Carr web site, search on o-rings, select "metric" and get some calipers and see how closely your extant ring matches a standard metric specification. (I would do that for you, but my Izzy is on loan to a friend.) Once you know what the desig...

$21.05 FOR TWO O-RINGS??!?

Better off going directly to Pyramid Air - they have those rings for $9.99 (still kind of ouchy) or a complete set of seals for $24.95.

Jerry - [rant]There is no shortage per se . The problem is not meeting the demand of consumers but the demands of hoarders. There is enough production for every user to have a reasonable supply on hand as shown by the stability of the market before the panic. However, once enough users decide that a...

Yesterday there was an 8# jug of Bullseye that had been bid up over $275; I don't know what it finally sold for, but Brownells sold it for $125 when it was last in stock. Right now, there is a 1# container that has been bid up to $72 with more than a day to go. I'm not surprised that flippers are ta...

The piston seal may need to be replaced or it may just need to be lubed. I don't have the manual handy, but you can go to the 10P files here: http://www.pilkguns.com/tenp/default.htm and there are diagrams and a couple of links under "Baikal".

Good luck.

http://www.kruger-us-targets.com/index.php/ They have very high quality targets in standard and reduced sizes for a variety of disciplines. I don't have time to search for exactly what you want, but I know I have bought reduced FP targets from them. They are not much more expensive than the cheap ta...

Maybe we need to back up a bit here - if the range at Bud's depended solely on "precision shooters", they'd have closed long ago. If someone is having fun blowing through $50 worth of ammo in 10 minutes or less, it's up to him to decide what his definition of "fun" is. And he is ...

PS. My experience with competitive shooters is that they all know the range rules and safety, and thus behave like model clients. It is the AR15 type that usually have no clue. That's when I see little puffs of white dust coming from the acoustic tile in the ceiling and stray holes in my target fro...

Wow - I've never encountered that kind of anti-snobbery. I'm not a competitive shooter, but Joe Sixpack can't tell that from my gear. I've got a spotting scope and brass catcher set up and wear Knobloch glasses and shoot at round targets at the far end of the range. At 25 yds the other shooters can'...

If they require the use of ammo purchased there, it might be a liability thing. At Bud's, shooters are required to buy ammo there for any rental gun, although you can use anything you bring in your own. I can see where an overly cautious range owner (or his lawyer) might think that be worried about ...

I'm not sure what you mean when you describe the behaviour of the extractor. If the extractor is not popping back from the breach face, then maybe you are not fully cocking the gun. Are you sure the click is the striker sear and not just the set trigger? If the striker is not fully cocked, then you ...

I tried the 90 degree stance when I first started with air pistol. I did not feel as steady in that position as I did with a lesser angle which is how I have subsequently been shooting. I think I read somewhere (from a source I haven't found again) that turning one's head to face directly along the ...
