Sight risers
Thank you for the replies. I'll try removing the rear sight and then get my head in a comfortable position then use some spacers to get the rear sight close to where it needs to be and then measure that distance. As it stands now, I've got the butt plate at the bottom of its travel and the cheeckpie...

Sight risers
I'm looking to raise my sights up on my FWB 700 for standing, but am not really sure how much to raise them. How do you determine the elevation gain needed. Perhaps I should just purchase adjustable sight risers and experiment?
Thanks,
Bob

Cylinder threads
Thanks guys for your replys. I wound up purchasing a product called Superlube that was available at Ace Hardware. It's a synthetic grease manufactured by the Synco Chemical Corporation. $4.99/3oz.. It was recommended by Scott Pilkington. I was trying to avoid the special FWB grease if possible. Than...

Is there anything I can use to lube the threads on my FWB 700 cylinder that I can purchase locally that will be compatible with the seals ?
Thanks,

Informal 10 meter air rifle
Not that I haven't thought about the coat and everything, but I just want to keep it simple and fun. Something for a Sunday afternoon with friends and maybe a Guinness!

Filling of PCP tank
So it's all about moisture. Got it.
My pump has a moisture filter after the particle filter in the handle, but it seems as though they should have the moisture filter at the end of the hose before it goes into the guns air reservoir.
Thanks,
Bob

Filling of PCP tank
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a FWB 700 and a hand pump. In the manual it states that hand pumps are not recommended with no further reasoning as to why. Can anyone tell me why.
Thanks,
Bob

10 meter informal air rifle
Hi Raj,
I own a 46M and was considering their SSP rifle but wanted a PCP instead. So after much consideration I decided that the most bang for the buck would be the 700Basic. It still cost more than my H&K 91 which makes me wonder if I've really lost my mind! LOL!
Thanks Raj,
Bob

Informal 10 meter air rifle
Thanks everyone.
After months of looking into this I decided on the Feinwerkbau 700 Basic. The stock may not be all that great but what I really wanted was a good trigger and a good barrel. Should be here tomorrow.
Thanks again,
Bob

Informal 10 meter air rifle
Thank you very much for your replys. Any help is appreciated. I may have worded my question incorrectly. The rifle I would like to purchase is an Anschutz 8001 Club. I believe the price is around $1600. Therefore, I was considering a less expensive alternative to my informal target shooting. Thanks,...

Informal 10 meter air rifle
I've been looking for a PCP rifle for some informal 10M shooting at my home and was considering the Air Arms S400 MPR. I like quality but am having a hard time letting go of $1600.00 for home use. Anyone know anything about these rifles?
Thanks,
Bob
