Thanks Pilkguns & Tony C, I managed to sort the problem out myself, the pin is threaded and simply unscrews, now I have access to the valve and seals. I do need some more advice though and will follow your suggestions in as far as other sites are concerned.

Hi All I have taken a very old Crossman C02 out of hibernation, but seals are leaking. Managed to strip all down to basics, except that I am left with the lower tube and what I think should be the valve assembly. CP 2 Help needed
Replaced all seals on CP2 but now have two spare parts left, a small coil spring .25inch long and .08inch in diameter as well as a matching steel ball, any help as to where they should go please.
