Re: Anschütz 1903
A few photos of my Sons new Anschütz 1903. Its a factory ordered shorted barreled action to meet the requirements of the weight limit for the Canadian Sporting Rifle Class. I also modified the standard 1903 rear stock by adding the ALU components and modifing the standard cheek rest to reduce weigh...

Hey Adrian: I can recommend sbrmike's suggestion to use the Anschutz 4751 handstop. I used to have the little one like you have pictured (the 6225) - the one that came with the original stock - and it pushed undue pressure on my hand. The 4751 handstop is quite a nice one, good ergonomics and sells ...

Re: Prone only jackets???
I only shoot prone. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with the jackets made for the prone position. Thanks, Tenring Tenring: I have had the KT MTM canvas prone only jacket for just over one year now. I am very happy with it. The MTM is key - don't cut corners here and make sure it is...

Hi Globesmasher, I would suggest that before you completely butcher your sling, see if you can devise a way of achieving the single thickness over the wrist without cutting the long length. You may also need a couple of extra Interscrews (Chicago screws) as you only get 4 with the Thune sling. Also...

Is the pressure/pain on the front part of the hand - between the thumb and forefinger? I suffered from this for quite a while (to the point where I was considering giving up) but I found a solution which worked for me. I posted some pictures on this thread: http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?t...

I find that it gets painful if the rifle is too muzzle heavy - I use a tube and have a heavier than normal barrel so I ended up shaving the stock down to get a comfortable balance. Kenny: Yup, this is what I discovered almost immediately. When I moved my support hand backwards along the stock to a ...

If yours is very front-heavy, I do wonder if you have got the butt too long (especially if you were set up by a tall shooter who might not have realised), and whether you could shorten the butt and move the handstop forward in sync to bring the CoG back closer to your left hand. What combination of...
