Re: Shaking things up, escaping ruts, quantity training — how to stay motivated?
A good online coach is Dina Aspandiyarova who has been referred to on TT over recent years. She is based in Australia but is accustomed to online coaching so it doesn’t really matter where you are. Her rates are very competitive and her coaching is not expensive to start and see how you go. Ten mete...

Not sure I follow David. What are the front sights' heights related to. There must be a rear sight “floor” there somewhere.

Re: Does anyone use ultrasonic cleaner to cleaning guns?
I clean guns and gun parts in ultrasonic cleaner, disassembled when possible. I have cleaned Walther GSP, Unique DES 69, Hammerli 208, revolvers, rifle bolts and more. I do not use water with degreaser which would have some bad effects as described in earlier posts, but a mix of mineral spirit and ...

Re: FWB P44 air Cylinders
Very strange that it should happen to both cylinders at the same time. Might be an issue in the pistol where the cylinder screws in. Have you looked there?

Re: Free Pistol Shorter Front Sight
If you ONLY trim the front sight, your shots will be high. If you then lower the rear sight to get your shots back on track, you will be back where you started. Remember that the barrel (axis) and front and rear sight act as a unit. If it's a grip position issue, see if you can alter the grip angle ...

Re: Walther GSP 500
But now that Washington State has made this an assault pistol, I won't be able to get either old SP20's or this new GSP 500. An assault pistol! Jeez! It’s not the lawmakers that will keep the GSP500 out of the hands of shooters down under - it’s the price! A reputable dealer here is spruiking the ....

Re: 22 Short - Lead vs Copper
I think you'll find that “copper” .22 bullets are not actually copper but just lead projectiles with a copper wash or light plating. They sometimes have a hollow point and usually signify a higher velocity round. These points are true for .22LR rounds and I suspect the same holds for the shorts. I d...

Re: Cast Bullet - Home Lube
Hi porkchop, I've found it: 45-45-10, is 45% Lee Liquid Alox, 45% Johnsons Paste Wax concentrate, 10% mineral spirits.
Not sure what the Australian equivalent is to Johnsons Paste Wax but a local outfit sells the concoction ready-made (for Australian consumption only):

Re: Weight Added to the Palm Rest
Early on I bought two of Andrew Berryhill's 3D printed barrel weight items, one each for my AP and FP; he can make them in a colour of your choice and of a diameter to suit your pistol. D13A9BCA-46F1-45C4-AF15-A9E0B366CAAC.jpeg The weight comes from up to four .38 wadcutter projectiles inserted in s...

Re: .22 Ammo For Free Pistols That Won't Stick in Chamber?
My FP colleague and I have had the same problem. He shoots a Morini CM84E and I a Hammerli/Walther FP60 both using CCI SV ammo. Our solution has been to clean the waxy lube off the rounds using either heat (my colleague) or solvent (me). I have posted on this issue recently. The heat is generated by...

Re: Walther Grip Size
I ran a Rink L on my old FWB P44, and I needed to putty it up to properly fill out my hand. Exactly my experience with the Rink grip on a P44. I even got Thomas to make mine a “thick” grip but it was not enough. I had to putty-up the front strap quite significantly and under the heel of my palm. Bob
