The only thing these people seem to have in common is shooting the cross bow. Why the interest? Where you ever able to reach E-A?

I installed a Morini compensator on my Pardini K22. Taking off the front sight was easy. I had to fabricate a bushing since the Pardini barrel OD is less than Morini compensator ID.

The potential problem with using a .22 target pistol for self defense is the 2.5 lb trigger. Granted, if you have a lot of experience with the gun you are used to the trigger. But in a self defense situation, with an adrenaline rush and a racing pulse, I think the 4 lb trigger in a purpose built sel...

The problem with using an iris as you describe is that it reduces the amount of light reaching the eye. If you have a brightly lit target and environment, it can work, but in a poorly lit range it may not work well.

If you want the grip to feel sticky, you can do what the base ball players do - rub some rosin on your hands and on the grip. I tried this for a while, but was not satisfied with the feel. Now I have applied some pieces of abrasive tape in a few areas to keep my hand from shifting.

I have been shooting a Pardini Fiocchi SPE since the late '80's. I agree with all the previous suggestions on new sprngs and thorough cleaning. New firing pin and extractor wouldn't hurt. My gun was/is very sensitive to ammo and was only reliable with Eley and RWS. Don Nygord recommended only RWS fo...

I have some process work to practice and hopefully a new lens will deter me from "double checking" as target will be blurred and so accept hold and allow trigger to operate. One way to stop your 'double checking' is to start operating the trigger before you reach your settle point. That i...

I have found that a polarizing filter works well in bright light glare conditions - at least for outdoor shooting. I have never experienced that level of glare indoors. You might try carbon soot from a flame on your sights to reduce reflections.

Sakamura, shooting at a blank target (no bull) with iron sights is excellent training, and you will find that you can shoot surprisingly small groups with no aiming point to distract you. You can also do this at home with dry firing. There has been a great deal of discussion of this subject over the...

Bottom line - My old bullseye groove took over and all my group sizes shrank severely. Ben, I think you answered your own question. You shoot smaller groups because you are used to shooting one hand/BE style. In addition, the time constraint you mention is very generous: 15-30 sec for 10 shots comp...

Steve, you might also want to consider weight. It becomes more important as you get older and arthritis, etc sets in :-)
You can always make a light gun heavier/change its balance; harder to make a heavy gun lighter.

Re: Mac-1 tuned Izh 46M

I received my Izzy back from Mac-1 yesterday, and I have shot about 100 pellets through it. RWS Basic. Nice ragged 1 hole groups from the bench. Good velocity noted, maybe a small improvement there. Gun has not failed to charge, all shots seem equal. Mac has posted elsewhere that there is about 10%...

I don't hink any of the new S&W production can come close to the quality of those old M17/K22 revolvers. I once owned a Colt Officers Model Target in 22 cal. and I still regret selling it.

Have you measured groups from the 617 and 17 from a rest? The difference in your score may not be simply the longer barrel. I have a 617 and have been disappointed in its grouping from a rest. I have sent it back to the factory for a tuneup, but still am not all that happy with the results. It has a...

I have a different perspective - I much preferred shooting at Benning compared to the OTC. I shot at OTC first (the old 3x air) and was disappointed in the facilities and lack of info. Took me most of a day to discover that there were two ranges (upstairs and downstairs) because I couldn't find anyo...
