When I'm having a bad day, and shooting a pistol balanced toward the grip, I notice that the front sight seems to vibrate a little. Adding mass at the end of the barrel increases moment of inertia and dampens the vibrations. This also helps reduce the lower frequency motions associated with movement...

The pinnacle is a nice unit, but I get the same results with an old, cheap, MP3 player and downloaded range commands. Cost $0. Far far better than the timer as it allows you to practice cadence with the commands. I set my player on loop play and practice the entire 10 round sequence without having t...

Fred, how do you feel about the trigger on your LP50? Have you compared it to the LP10? The LP50 and LP10 triggers are quite different. The LP50 has a single stage trigger with a bit of roll. Just what is needed for an AP sustained fire course. With the heavy trigger version set to 3.5 lb it is a f...

I had a go at using the LP50 for sustained fire training when I first got it. Put on the 45 grip adapter, the heavy trigger, and a red dot. Didn't do much for me, since my main issue in CF/45 sustained fire is recoil and trigger management. Didn't help in 22 T/R training either - it just felt differ...

Fred- Is there a brand of felt pellet that you find fits best in the magazine? Thanks again FWIW, I have used RWS Hobby, R10 light, Beeman Trophy. The latter for Silhouette with targets beyond 10M. The pellets must be seated just below flush and I use a Beeman seating tool to do this quickly and ea...

Re: Olympic Results, weapons used?
Is there a listing of the olympic results and the weapons used for each medal? Rifle, pistol, air, I wanna know them all! This question has been asked before, and the answer has always been that there is no such listing. The IOC would consider this information as advertising and therefore does not ...

Re: RE: TOZ 35 Modifications
I am still working on getting photos taken of my TOZ 35. I am probably going to have to email them to someone that can post them to this thread since I think the photos will be too large too post and I have no way to reduce them. It will probably be next week before I can take photos of the TOZ. Op...

Thanks guys. Can I also ask how you clean? Are felt pellets every tin or so enough? Is a particular brand of felt pellet better? Felt pellets are the only way to 'clean' an LP50, and, yes, a few every tin or so won't hurt. More important is keeping the mags clean and properly lubed to reduce wear o...

And let me add that any info anyone gives you on results for his LP10 will most likely not apply to yours. The guns are not identical and the batches that he/she tested will likely not be the batches that you test. I have so far successfully resisted the temptation to test pellets in my AP, and spen...
