I would check with Pilkguns for just the bolt seals; if they have them I'm sure they would just put them in an envelope for a minimal shipping fee

Ben, It is my understanding that the primary purpose of a muzzle compensator on an AP is to improve pellet flight by venting gases away from the pellet as it exits the barrel. I never observe any movement of the front sight on a properly executed shot whether the gun is uncompensated (IZH46), muzzle...

Re: what are the essentials to care and feed an IZH

Just to piggy back on this topic, I have a used IZH 46M that should be coming to me within the next week. Other than pellets and I would assume Pelgun Oil are there any other items I should have on hand to keep a 2 year old IZH 46M working continuously? Seals? Is there only one or are there two dif...

I like to mix things up. I also shoot 2 handed revolver matches. I feel it makes me a better Bullseye shooter, and vice versa. Sometimes non-obvious ideas and concepts carry over. So I think I'd like a true 10meter "experience" rather than just another way to train Bullseye. I am aware so...

I don't know that particular pistol, but most of those look-a-likes are not well made and have terrible triggers. For serious slow fire practice I suggest a Weihrauch Hw75 or Hw40. Accurate, good trigger and sights, and feel like a 45. Can be fitted with a red dot http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/s...

Gordon, Two other pistols to consider - Weihrauch HW75 (formerly the Beeman P2) and the Weihrauch HW 40 (Beeman P3). These are SSP pistols with a reasonable cocking force. I have shot both guns and both are capable of shooting 90/100 on a standard 10M target. See http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/sh...

Spray some silicone oil into a small dish/container, use a toothpick to transfer the oil to the seal and transfer port as described by Boris.

Re: Falling scores

I can typically shoot in the mid to high 80's in slow fire but lately my scores are down into the high 70's. Every shot is in the black but my grouping in=s non existent. I haven't changed anything and my timed and rapid are still in the mid to high 90's. I don't understand what happened or what I ...

Gordon, if you are referring to your IZH53 in this thread, it is a relatively low velocity pistol and different weight pellets may have significantly different trajectories - or at least enough to get you to suitable POA.

I have been very happy with my P44. I bought it without grips and then put on Rinks. The grip angles have a good range of adjustment, as does the trigger. This is a big advantage over the Morini. The best feature, IMO, is the light weight - mine is under 1000 gm. This allows me to add weights to cha...

I used to use TSI 301 until it became so darned difficult to find (and they changed the formula?). I had also heard this rumor from Neal Johnson, but it is readily available (http://www.tsi301.com/main.htm) as well as at Pilkguns. I don't like sprays, so I bought an 8 oz can that I expect to be abl...

Gordon, I have two Beeman products that I have used for cleaning: Beeman Cleaner/Degreaser according to the label "won't cause swelling or softening of seals". Beeman Metalophilic Compund No 5 (MP5). according to the label "harmless to steel, non ferrous metals, wood, seals and leathe...

Brief synopsis, it was a new pistol, pretty unique in design, and it had some reliability issues in the beginning, imagine that. The company has provided new parts and service to those with early pistol that had problems, imagine that a company standing behind what they sell. Some people are just i...

For if all shooters truly understood, accepted, embraced and applied this most critical principle, *everyone* would be shooting 580s . . . Steve Swartz Because it is not as easy as you suggest. Despite all the hours of practice you have spent to master this principle, they are few compared to the c...

My Math isn't great but where does the 4 and Pi come into the calulation? Pi is only used for angular measurements. Here we are talking a straight line - its simply length divided by average velocity. Cheers David I believe Albert is offering a formula for estimating barrel time from measurement of...

Those are tiny screws, so I wouldn't use anything beyond blue Loctite. Perhaps just a dab of nail polish will do.
