Wee,
I have Rink on my TOZ, Pardini grips on my Pardini SPE, and Morini on my LP1. For me, The Pardini and Morini grips are similar in feel and different than the Rink. Having already invested in the Rink grips you might consider adding or removing material to alter their fit and feel.

Melentiev Score

I HAVE A SERIOUS QUESTION, REALY ALEXANDEL MELENTIEV SET A RECORD OF 581 IN FREE PISTOL OR WAS A CHEAT OF SOVIETS (REMEMBER IN THAT TIME THE COLD WAR) TO "DEMOSTRATE SUPERIORITY OF COMUNISM IN OLIMPICS GAMES, IN WORLD. MARCIALVS@HOTMAIL.COM Why do you think that Melentiev's score was not legit...

Re: Do I detect fustration?

have you tried dryfiring etc a few rounds to get the basics (subprocesses) working right. Then live fire just a couple of rounds. Really just feel and pay attention to the process, not the score. Then dryfire etc for some number of rounds. Then live fire a couple. Interesting suggestion. One of my ...

From the time at which you settle into the aim area, most of us shoot within 3-8 seconds. Take a look at the AMU manual http://www.bullseyepistol.com/chapter1.htm

Keeping Your Head Stationary

We often think of the head as being stationary and I guess it should be. But how many of us have a position that requires us to turn the head? The natural position is looking striaght forward. But if you turn your head to the side, how many of us strain the neck slightly to get the shooting eye in ...

Re: Cleaning Pellets?

make very sure there are no loose fibres around the edges of the pellets. Rob. Good point Rob. I forgot to mention that my procedure is to load several fibre pellets into a mag and carefully check for loose/protruding fibers before loading the mag. Also a blast of compressed air into the mag slot a...

Dave, I shoot a few cleaning pellets thru my LP 50 after 300-500 shots. They usually come out pretty clean, but if they appear 'dirty' I wet one with some TSI301, FP10, or similar cleaner, then follow with a few dry pellets. At this time I also apply a VERY light coat of silicone grease or Superlube...

I find it helpful to use an iris set at ~5 mm diam. Sufficient to help me keep my head in position, and my eye in line with the optical center of the lens, but not small enough to increase depth of field or darken the image.

Hello Steve, I have attached two screen shots of the software, including the "About", which tells you how to get a copy. Basically, you simply enter the scoring ring diameters and which which rings you want black. Not sure whether it meets ISSF specifications, but is great for odd size tar...

G, I recommend that you not buy a new pistol without at least handling it, preferably shooting it. As Larry correctly points out, the fit and feel are very important. Either gun can shoot Master scores in the right hand. But is your hand the right hand? FWIW - the Pardini is a more popular gun and w...

Because of the price, I got a box of the National 185 gr SWC and a box of the plated version. I haven't really checked the accuracy at 50 yd, but there is significant flash at the parting line which could reduce accuracy. Also the base edge is not as sharp/perfectly formed as I would like. I usually...

Not Another One!!

Hi Paul.

You are caught in a downward spiral:

More shooting leads to
More guns means
More money means
More work leads to
Less shooting

Best wishes for the New Year

Dennis,
At this point, I would get in touch with Warren Potter. Messing with the sear engagement is really a last resort. I 'adjusted' the sear engagement on my LP50 and it took me forever (it felt like forever) to get the gun working properly again.

Ross, The only thing I would add to the above comments, is that you might want to spend some time getting the IZH grips to fit your hand. Mine felt like I was holding a 2x4. Check the Archives and also Don Nygord's website for suggestions on altering the grips. A set of properly fitted grips means o...
