I use a Pelikan 1520 for two Steyrs, extra cylinders, tools, repair kit, glasses, pellets, manuals. Room for a small scope if desired. Probably a bit bigger than necessary, but I like to be able to take out a piece of gear without having to take the whole case apart. Best disguise is to put it into ...

Re: weights in air pistol
Tony: When I put the weight in the front of the pistol (muzzle), after 60 shoots, I feel a pain in the heel of the hand, and a red color of the skin can be looked. I have to take the weight back a half inch and try again. The perfect locating place is far of your hand, but dont hurt your hand. ¿Did...

I bought my IZH35 used. It was manufactured in 1995 and was apparently one of the ones Don Nygord was tuning up and selling in those years - it is stamped with his name. I don't know its history, but I believe it has was used quite a bit as a club gun. Despite that, in the two years that I have owne...

Nicole Do a search on author: Trinity, subject Pardini in the Olympic Pistol forum and you will find some TT discussion on removing the firing pin retainer pin. I have never had any trouble removing mine. If yours is tight, use a short punch, make sure the bolt is properly supported, and give it a g...

Now, talk to me about a target carrier system repeatable enough to use with a fixed Rika transmitter downrange not requiring calibration between every target change and you'll get my attention . . . Hi Steve. Just curious - why do you need to change targets with the RIKA? Are you live firing with t...

Re: Linseed oil is a nice finish, but......
An alternative might be to consider using Ballistol (a mineral oil that is handling friendly) and has been used on stocks and gun parts for over a century with good results. YMMV. CraigE Craig, Is your reference to Ballistol Sportsman's Oil, reg TM of F.W. Klever GmbH? I have been using it to clean...

My Pardini Story
Everyone seems to have their own Pardini story. I suffered through a whole season with problems similar to what Willard has described. After trying all the usual - new springs, cleaning, different ammo,... - I sent the gun to Don Nygord who reamed the chamber of my SPE. It now works flawlessly and I...

Betty, There has been considerable discussion recently on the Bullseye-L board on the subject of iron sights vs red dot sights. I'm sure that Gunnery Sgt Brian Zins would take exception to your characterizing him as 'lazy and less skilled' because he used a red dot sight to win his numerous awards a...

I have a Millett on my M41 and have had no problems with it. Can't give you a comparison with UD since I have no first hand experience with UD sights. Their literature says that the UD has the least parallax of any red dot. If true, this is a real benefit. One of these days I will check the parallax...

I've been involved in shooting sports for over 25 years, and the fastest way a woman can get herself uninvited to a shooting range is to outshoot her male partner! How true. At one time I was actively involved as an NRA Instructor, teaching new shooters basic shooting skills. Many of the people tha...

Joint Match
Has anyone run a joint USAS, NRA Registered, AP match? I am trying to work my way through all the bs in the rule books. Perhaps Larry's suggestion about using Open may be the way to go.
