As an earlier poster suggested, switch to your other arm!
You might be surprised to find that after a few months training, your scores using your other arm and hand will be at the 'old' level.
You continue to shoot and you give your injured arm a rest - win, win!
My experience, of course YMMV.

Lefty trying RH pistol
One consideration based upon my experience: I used to shoot right-handed (and right eye, too). A 'standard' grip, whether from from Walther, or Hammerli, or Rink, or Nill, or Vitarbo, or Herretts, or Fung, seemed to fit me well with little in the way of filing or filler. When I switched to shooting ...

GSP serial numbers
I suspect that somewhere there is a list tying GSP serial numbers to the date of manufacture, but I do not know where to find it. Perhaps another TT reader can help?

With respect to your question number 3: The bolt housing of mid 1970s vintage is susceptible to cracking after prolonged use. Look for a crack at the end of the slots in which the bolt cocking ears ride. The source of the crack appears to be a 'stress-raiser' created by the machining inside the hous...

Interchangeable magazines
While the pistols are quite different, the magazines are very similar; so much so that it is posssible that a slight modification to an AW93 magazine would enable it to function in an IZH 35. The bottom rear of the AW93 magazine needs to be ground down by a millimetre or two so that the magazine ret...

You won't be able to use it in ISSF competitions (.22 short no longer allowed and muzzle brake no longer allowed) but you can use it in NRA Conventional Pistol provided you can get the trigger weight up to 2 pounds (907 grams). The grip could be a problem for NRA, too, depending upon its configurati...

Oops, I think you were refering to 'point of aim' rather than to the Aimpoint brand of dot sight. I doubt that the slide-to-frame fit will appreciably affect your group size but if you have the capability of fixing the rear sight to the frame, go ahead. After all, High standard did that with the lat...

dot sight on HS Citation
I had a gunsmith mount a rail (weaver?) to the barrel. I mounted a dot sight to the rail. I kept the open rear sight. I can remove the barrel with the dot sight and replace it with another barrel without dot sight (but with 'regular' front sight) and shoot open (iron) sight matches, too.

Thank you, guest, but I have read the rule, in its entirety, many times. Indeed, that the sound comes from a microphone instead of a tape does change everything. As David has quoted, regarding Philip Lee's enquiry, the Peltor 'electronic' muffs are permitted by the ISSF. The argument should now devo...

Yes, USA can do better some day: http://www.issf-shooting.org/xmlresultpage.aspx?cshipid=919&resultkey=C100000I_1304090900.1.RFP.0 2nd overall for Keith Sanderson! Not so shoddy, eh? His shot average in the finals exceeded his shot average in qualifying. No 'choke' in the finals here. Klimov was...

more on ammo and AW93
Today, I did a drop test of all the standard velocity ammo I had on hand. Some of it was of the same lot as my initial test three years ago. In general, the aged ammo did not do as well today as it did then. Oxidized lead swelling, waxy lubricant hardening or migrating? Can't say for sure, but it em...

Ammo for AW93
Interesting, Ruig- The Federal Champion web-site does not even list a 714 product. In Federal Champion Target, there is listed: 745 at 1260 fps, AM22 at 1200 fps, and 510 at 1240 fps All high velocity stuff. It would seem that the product list is not up to date. I did rummage through my stock of amm...

Ammo for AW93

AW93 ammo
With a (really) clean chamber, and the gun held with the barrel pointing down, I tried dropping a round of each of the brands of .22LR I had on hand into the chamber of my AW93. Of the brands I had, only Lapua Standard Club and RWS Target Pistol dropped freely into the chamber. The Eley Target Pisto...

I did find the photos of the SPnew useful. The owner described an issue with the fit of magazines. Comparing his photos with those of another SPnew being offered for sale, I can see that there has been two (at least) different frames produced for the SPnew. So, just looking at an SPnew can give an i...

Wiping off wax
So, is this really Eley ammo, or just 'chinese copy' Eley that has excessive wax?
Or, was the Eley supplied to impress the foreign visitor, and the 'normal' ammo supplied is another brand that does need wiping?
(Oh, my sleep-starved brain is going wild.)
LOL
;-)
