This does not include absolutely everything regarding the modern standing position but Heinz Reinkemeier does publish some very good instructional videos. Watch it a few times, and it should help get you started.

Re: Question about 1600 Anschutz
Opusxc A few bits here: Without a list and pictures of the 'stuff' it is difficult to say if it is 'stuff' people would want. Some things were the thing to have in a particular era and are no longer desirable. Other times, you have things like that Redfield 3200 that in some circles are still sought...

George Brenzovich passed away a few months back so you will need supernatural help to reach him.

Re: Question about 1600 Anschutz
As for the 'A' on the receiver: Somewhere in a German old folks home is some guy, laughing his butt off, telling a story about randomly stamping the letter 'A' into Match 54 receivers just to keep people guessing. :)

Re: Question about 1600 Anschutz
Hi Opus, Thanks for the props on my comments. I have been at this a few years so a few thing have sunk in. First, regarding a 3200 vs 6400. You have a 3200. scopes_vsml.jpg In the image here, a Redfield 6400 is on top, about 2/3 the length of a Redfield 3200. You mention your father purchased the sc...

Re: Question about 1600 Anschutz
In looking a the rifle overall: I will agree with Tim, I have never seen a Redfield 3200 mounted to the receiver like that. Those mounts are remarkably tall. If you are shooting standing then the distance between the barrel centerline and eyepiece of the scope is probably OK. Even for kneeling where...

Re: Question about 1600 Anschutz
I have a theory about the “A” above the serial number… I wonder if it could be a designation by Anschutz for rifles destined for high school or jrotc shooting programs? I have a few examples that will wreck that theory: Guns I know for a fact were sold to the general public in the US with the A on ...

Re: Grunig R3 racer vs Walther kk500
Part of this really depends on details, how long you have been shooting and your skill level. Both are fine rifles. I have shot a KK500, I have held an R3, I currently shoot a KK300. There are some details on the R3 that speak to the Swiss level of detail on things. The R3 is also 1/2 again more tha...

Re: Question about 1600 Anschutz
I do have a quick question… what does the A over the serial number stand for? No-one seems to know. It's not a proof mark, or part of the regular serial number. A suggestion is it indicates rifles to be sold in North America,. It might also show a duplicated s/n. There is something to the theory ab...

Re: Diana 65
Redfeather, Tim has pretty well covered the possible options with the front sight inserts (apertures). I suppose a 'next question' would hinge on whether you want to replace elements or the whole sight(s). These days, Anschutz, Walther and Feinwerkbau all have different front sight mounting dovetail...

Re: the muzzle moves to the left a little when pull the trigger
I am sort of assuming this is standing with air rifle.
If this is in the last tenth of a second before you release the shot, I would suspect you are pushing your right shoulder into the rifle.
Also, are you checking your natural point of aim as you settle into each shot?

Re: which point the additional counterweight be added?
If your left hand hurts there may be something wrong with your setup. It should be acting just as a platform.

For a total of 1.5 kg suggest A and D first. Many recommend center of balance 1-2 cm in front of support hand.

Re: Walther KK500 Scatt Rail Problem
If I am reading this correctly, you installed the SCATT (both hardware and software), the software is working but when you 'fire' a shot the shot registers but it is well away from the center of the target. The next step is to grab the most recent shot (the pink one) with mouse pointer and drag it t...

Re: the dominance of Capapie shooting suits
Interesting discussion: To recap a few things here, Capapie is stiff and compared to European offerings somewhat cheaper. The Capitex material is somehow magical in that it seems to be just barely able to pass EC but always seems to squeak by. Yes, Ginny Thrasher sustained a back injury that was att...

Re: FWB 800 rear sight cover problem
I agree, the plastic cover is not great, the word flimsy comes to mind. I have two of these sights, one that came with a 700 and the other an 800. They appear identical. The question I have: Both of mine have a single philip's head screw on the right side, just in front of the windage knob. The tabs...

Somewhat similar to the response by gn303, look into 'counter conditioning'. Part of this depends on the dog being food motivated or there at least being some very high value treat that the dog just loves. This also requires two people. Have the dog somewhere where it can hear the report of the air ...

Re: Which Globe
Looks like a MEC 'Crystal' on a FWB dovetail. Regardless of the exact brand, it looks proper and secure. The wires do help with getting a consistent cant from shot to shot. While I cannot say you absolutely MUST leave them, I would highly encourage leaving them and getting the globe rotated so the w...
