If the deal is "if enough people show up", then it is actually somewhat easy to solve. Just get a good listing of names and phone numbers (or e-mails) of people who would want to shoot that style, and organize it so that you have enough people there at one time. Do it enough and it becomes...

Just a bit of a follow up on that story (have been away from online forums for a bit, sorry about the late add-on). I know this doesn't follow the normal topics, but you guys are also intelligent enough to understand the details on this one. The device used in that incident wasn't a standard paintba...

Thanks for the link, posted the same question over there as well. Ronald, thanks for the suggestion to tighten the rear bolt body, unfortunately the problem persists. Got a couple more leads to check out however, just need to get the proper gauges to measure the headspace and somebody also suggested...

Just can't get my Mossberg 144LSB to fire

Basically, the title sums it up nicely. Last hundred or so trigger pulls have resulted in only 4 rounds leaving the barrel from the muzzle end. The problem seems to be insufficient force on the rim of the casings, some are barely showing a scratch after being hit. Nobody else at the range has had an...

I'll probably take some heat on this one, but since you mentioned that recreational shooting will be a big part of it, have you considered some of the older US made smallbore guns? Something like a Mossberg 44 or 144 can be found in the range of around $200 sometimes (just bought one for that price ...

Even though the sporter stuff doesn't link-up with upper echelon smallbore competition, I wonder if there might be some way to tap into that shooting base. If it's as popular as you guys claim it is, and if it's getting people into shooting that wouldn't otherwise be, then the task might not be to c...

No offense taken by me in the least, I wasn't aware of the conversation going on in the pistol forum regarding turning targets. Good information in there too, actually I am glad you pointed it out. No appology needed from my viewpoint.

I guess I am a bit slow, or just dont check this forum enough, because the concept just appeared to me last night. Pete, were you looking at a purely pneumatic system? or electronically controlled pneumatic solenoids? Only because I find the electric ones tend to grow quite rapidly in their current ...

Ok, you folks have my interest peaked in this one topic, forgive my inexperience with the specifics of Rapid Fire but I might be able to tap into some design experience that some friends have. I know folks with too much time, brains and tooling on their hands who just love a challenge and happen to ...

Oh, I definitely agree that paintball isn't THAT expensive to get into. I've seen packages running $120 at Sports Authority that includes everything you need. My point was actually more that it's not a matter of how much money people have, and that somebody dedicated to something will find a way som...

I have enough trouble getting Mommy to fork over $250 for the Dasiy 888 to start out. When they already have the spotting scope, pad, kneeling roll, and other equipment SOMETIMES we can get them to fork over for the Steyr, jacket, pants, and boots. Not often though. Up until about 3-4 years ago, I ...

Excellent post there on coaching JPOC. Took a while to get through it, but I think I see your point in it all. 1. standardized, or at least semi-standardized curriculum 2. proper coaching attitudes 3. keep the main reason why in the program, enjoyment. 4. keep the carrot in front of the donkey, but ...

All very good questions. Personally, I am just starting to get off by duff and move from casual to competitive shooting, so I don't know enough of the current or past atmosphere to really contribute to this conversation other than questions and zeal. The one thing that I have been having the most tr...

As I will (hopefully) be living in Colorado Springs at that time, I'll be willing to attend anything that is offered there. Though for the time being my preference is NRA 3position, long term the international would probably be best for me.
