Re: Gear and rifle case: How do you move them around?
I decided to try an easy option today and threw a shoulder strap on my gun case. It worked better than I thought. Maybe I just need a shotgun back scabbard for my rifle?

Re: Adult shooter looking for coach and gear advice
Isn't there a range at the NRA nearby? I'd bet that someone there would be qualified.

I think I'd just be carrying an additional bag then.

Re: Gear and rifle case: How do you move them around?
Ugh, I just did the math and I've been shooting for 27 years...sometimes I forget I'm not 20 anymore, but quickly remember after I'm done shooting standing. I wish my step daughter was interested in shooting, because that would solve some of this....except then I'd have twice the gear... I've seen p...

Gear and rifle case: How do you move them around?
The title is a little weird, because I wasn't sure how to phrase it, but here is my situation: I used to use a soft equipment bag that I could toss on my back like a backpack, so I'd always have a hand free to operate doors and such. Recently, I decided to give a hard style equipment case a shot. It...

Anschutz Pistol Grip Interchangeability?
I just picked up a first gen Anschutz aluminum 2013 stock (not sure what the exact model number of the stock itself is), and I'd like to get a larger grip for it. Are the newer grips interchangeable?

Re: Announcement New American Smallbore Shooting Associatio
I'm not trying to start an internet argument here, but I just want to point out that they don't *have* to do the same stuff that USAS did when they split. I'm involved with a couple of other organizations that hold events that are regional and national championship level. Neither of those organizati...

Re: Announcement New American Smallbore Shooting Associatio
I don't see how they need a ton of seed money for this. USA Shooting needs money to represent the US in international competitions. Maintain a world class training facility. Coaches and athletes on the payroll. Ammo costs.
ASSA just needs to hold matches.

Re: Turbo V-2 3P Rifle Experience
I was interested in the length with the entire butt assembly removed (the carrier, and cheek piece).

Re: Turbo V-2 3P Rifle Experience
I know this is going to sound like a strange request, but could you measure the length, minus tube and butt?

Re: Turbo V-2 3P Rifle Experience
I want one in the worst way. It's not in the cards at the moment, but maybe in the spring after I get my tax return back.

Except a CMP official said that they paid for the lion's share of the cost at Perry, so that doesn't exactly jive.

I'll have to try that tonight.
I saw that value, but had no idea what it really did. What is it supposed to represent?

SCATT problem
I have an old serial SCATT hooked to an equally old laptop. Occasionally, I'll have a shot end up nowhere near the trace line, and I can't figure out why. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've shot air in the ballroom of a hotel before, so it can be done without the use of permanent structures.

Re: Beginner looking for advice
I'm not sure where this eye dominance thing started (probable with pistol shooters?), but when the rules allow you to cover the non-aiming eye, the only reason to shoot left handed would be a physical problem preventing right handed shooting. You spend your whole life doing everything with your righ...

If you are right handed, shoot right handed. Don't fall for that eye dominance trick.

I have been using popcorn kernels for years. Yeah, it's a bit heavy (comparable to rice/birdseed), but it's super cheap, available anywhere, and makes for a great emergency snack!

I never understood the mirror finish stocks. It must be murder to shoot outside on a sunny day.
