Re: Customising Anschutz Precise
No, it's the same stuff. I know a couple of guys that have done it. You just thin it a little bit with thinner to get it to spray easier, but you still need a thick coat to look good.

Re: Customising Anschutz Precise
I have Plastidip on my cheekpiece and grip, and it's not super durable. But the real pain is that it gets dirty easily, and no real way to clean it. Plus, you have to build up such a thick layer to make it look even that it would be hard to do the parts of the stock that come in contact with anythin...

Re: Customising Anschutz Precise
You'd have to strip it bare before you powder coat it, and then once done, you have to chase all of the treads with a tap. That's just how it works on anything that is powder coated.

Re: Customising Anschutz Precise
I have an aluminum stock that is homemade. I've painted it, powder coated it, and vinyl wrapped it. The paint chipped easily. The powder coat wasn't even (but that was a result of bad application), and it's currently wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl that I had laying around. All of that being said, it'...

Re: 4-P course of fire
I was the range officer at the 4P sectional just a couple weeks ago, and this exact question came up. So, I went to the rulebook and came to the same conclusion you did - that it doesn't *actually* say what order to shoot them in, so I just followed the order of the score cards.

Bloop Tube: How long is too long?
I'm making a new tube and I have a piece of carbon fiber that is 18". My barrel is 16.5". My current tube is about 9". When I slipped the CF tube on at first, it seems comically long. So has anyone done any testing (anecdotal or otherwise) to find out if there is such a thing as too l...

Re: Kneeling pulse
I have them unzipped behind the knees, so both zippers pulled all the way to the bottom of the legs.

Kneeling pulse
I've been trying to rebuild my kneeling position lately, and I've found a comfortable position, but I've got a nasty heartbeat. It feels like it's coming from my right leg, behind the knee possibly (I'm right handed). Anyone else experience this?

Re: NEW BARREL?
I have a 2 groove Benchmark barrel, and I'd say I'm only "satisfied" with it. It's on a Win52. The reasons I'm not really happy are primarily related to customer service and attention to detail (they did a real hack job fitting my bloop tube to the new barrel). But, I sent my action to the...

Redfield Rear Base: Highest Available?
I have a Win52B with a Redfield .670 base on the rear, but would like something taller. Does such a thing exist, or do I have to have one made?

Re: Anyone recently try Lasik?
That is also my fear - going through the work and having things be worse.
I wish they had a money back guarantee. If it's not perfect when done, then I didn't just waste thousands of dollars. If it has the success rate they claim, I don't see why that would be such an issue.

Anyone recently try Lasik?
I know that the procedure is much better now than it was just a few years ago. Does anyone have any experience with corrective surgery? If so, what were your results as it relates to shooting? I wear contacts now (-2.5 in both eyes, no other issues), and I've been thinking about it for the day to da...

I shot against that team at State Championships in the late 90s. Many great shooters came through that program. It's a real shame to hear. Is it really financial, or political? If it's financial, I can certainly understand why. Ammo and transportation isn't cheap when you are talking about fielding ...

Monard Dealer?
Who sells Monard stuff in the US now? I'm not coming up with anything recent on google. Unless there is a better alternative in the same price range?
