Actually the Army is developing lead free bullets already. They've been testing them, not in everything yet but in some of the stuff. A guy that used to be in the Unit is one of the people testing them. And solid copper lead free bullets have been in use for hunting for a while now. SO it wouldnt be...

welcome to the world of prone shooting. Take a break when it gets bad. You should also find that the more you shoot the longer it will take until it starts hurting, but it will still hurt no matter how long you shoot.

For what you are using it for the plastic will be great. But I believe that the most popular inserts now are the Centra glass inserts that screw in. All of us on the team use them and are just about a necesity if you shoot 300 meter stuff. The plastic will warp from the heat of the barrel which is n...

How gary anderson shot all those years ago has nothing to do with today's scores. Let go of the past. The scores now are higher and on the harder target. So no you won't find any good shooters shooting without a kneeling roll.

Just work with the roll. Don't shoot without it. It doesnt matter if gary anderson shot without one, look at the scores now compared to then and on the tougher target and tell me if you still think thats the way to shoot. You won't see anyone of the elite level shooters in the world without a kneeli...

Actually some people do make a living in the USA shooting ISSF. Not many mind you, but a handful do. Its not the living a lawyer makes or a doctor but CAN BE a decent living if you are willing to put forth the time and effort it takes to be able to do it. And no I am not talking about us here in the...

Most people you will hear use a round aperture and not the post front sight. With that being said the target will just be centered in the aperture. If you are going to use a post front sight I would hold six oclock. But would highly reccommend the round aperture.

Well for the last two years Ive won the anysights at camp perry, and most the anysight matches I have entered for the last four years. I use a 24 power leupold with the smaller than 1/8th minute dot. I would use just the crosshair but I am lazy and wont send my scope off to get the dot removed. I sa...

If you use a tube or a tuner you want to torque your clamp down the same each time. It does affect how it shoots if the torque is different. All of us on the team torque ours the same every time we put it on.

Taking a break is never a negative. PERIOD. Watch the international shooters, you cant go back to sighters and we still take breaks. Practice this and you can put the rifle back in the same place and shoot tens immediately after a break. You watch anyone that makes international finals and I will pr...

If you say so, but I really don't feel anyone should be using higher than a 4.2 with an air rifle, smallbore obviously depends on sight radius but even still the biggest I have seen used successfully with a long sight radius is only around a 4.3.

When I say control recoil I mean the size of it and direction. The direction should be straight up and down, if it's not then there is something not quite right in your position and that needs to be addressed. As for the size you dont want it very big. Its kinda hard for me to describe it exactly wh...

Go to sleep in prone? Im pretty sure I would lose the use of my left arm if I fell asleep in prone. Your arm is going to be a little sore, thats why you see the guys on my team take breaks during the 60 shot matches. You dont want to hold the rifle with your muscles but your hand being pushed agains...

People dont stock the smallbore and air rifle stuff because there isnt a real big market for it. They will sit on that stuff for a while before it sells. We recommend firm to help control recoil. ABout as hard as you grip a carton of milk. Dont go so tight that it disturbs recoil, just controls it. Pretty vague yes, but you can experiment for yourself and see
